If I'm right, Don would prefer staying at gabion cost will b 220,000rp for a deluxe room for standard room is 180,000rp unless he find the last stay at paradise better.

As for better stay u can think of maximillian but the cost for standard room is $48 sg per night

Bros , not going cos just went recently plus now on new job so can't take leave.
Hotel wise bro baby recommandation is what i think so.

Budget wise Gabion is gd for 180,000rp. If Maximillian cost $48 per night then might as well stay at Aston (last time Padi Mas) with same price with router for wifi at every floor. Bak Kut Teh, super market , food court (not very nice) and pub within 5min walking distance.

I myself prefer Paradise standard $35 and deluxe $45. Down side in Paradise is only lobby got wifi. Bak Kut Teh, super market, KTV, provision shop, food court, Disco(Bravo) within walking distance.

Bro agreed with u is all depends on wht u like. As for Bak Kut Teh opposite Gabion hotel there is also the same while they r brothers. As for KTV gabion they have KTV too & super market is all walking distance too. Only going to Bravo is a bit far but to me Im not into Disco.

But Gabion have driver to fetch u from jetty & to farms as for paradise Im sure they do not provide driver right?

Got driver available is not necessarily a good thing as I understand they get commission from the villas...... which is your money

Normally I wil take an ojek to the nasi Padang stalls outside Villa...... have something to eat or drink there just to make sure the ojek rider has left before walking into the villas compound.

After so so so many years, finally step into balai again on 18th May.
No FR, as i went with my OC, not cheonging trip but gathering with some bros from Batam Thread. They went on 17th May for 2 nites stay.
I didnt visit Villa and Ruko as by the time i reached there, they already finish their hunting.
This trip stayed in Maxi, massage at The Spa inside maxi, dinner at sliver river and pool & drinking session at level 7 of maxi.

Nothing particular to mention except;
when going back sg, at the departure hall, while going to the ferry, a ferry staff for checking and tear a small part of the ferry tiket actually mumbling something to me, at first i thought is asking to see my passport or something, so i just said "ah" and take out my passport and he repeated his words again, this time i heard it clear, he told me " kasih kopi"
Of course i didnt give, stared at him awhile, keep my passport and walk off to ferry.
Is it common in Balai?
Before reach the ferry i was telling this to my OC, we laugh like it is joke of the day. Ferry staff asking for kopi money
Polisi ask for kopi, we can understand, they need to pay alot before become a polisi, must recover cost. Immigrasi ask for kopi, we can understand, becoz in that small island, they are the authority in that jetty. But a ferry staff asking for kopi is really a joke, wondering if really got ppl give...

No worries bro, I just take what knowledge I got from seniors here, add abit of my own experience and pay it forward. Only bad thing abt tbk other than the longer ferry ride, is not much night life, no cinema, big shopping centers and good discos. But maybe that's why its a good place to r&r, quiet and simple..
