15 Dec 2011, 10.30am at the Raffles Arcade: 4.83..
RMB is really strengthening like nobody's business.. The best thing is that when I first entered the Arcade, the rate is 4.85, but after I go jalan jalan to compare rates and draw money from the ATM, the rate fell to 4.83

Did I mention that if Dow jones perform poorly you gonna get lousier rates for RMB ? Dow jones was off about 1+% last night and what rate are we getting today? still 4.88 ??

US dollar has also just broken out to new high, that's why you are seeing new low rates for RMB. few months ago it was 5.25 - 5.3.

As long as US stock markets continue to perform poorly while the US dollar continues to trend up , expect to see SGD changing lesser and lesser RMB.

No need crystal ball, just some financial knowledge. accuracy 100% (some people only manage 90% accuracy)

precisely! what's the point of having this thread ? if you need it, u change it. but i guess some people here are too boliao to post the daily rates here.

however, some people find the rate updates here useful. I hope what i have posted here is useful for people who wants to time the changing of their rates to get the most of their SGD. so what you have posted is unncessary.

Just changed at Suntec @ 4.85. The one with the super long queue rate @ 4.84.

The reason why ppl took effort to post daily rates is becos they wants to share.

No point talking so much and not willing to share.. And expect others to input info.. Really kns ppl.. Opps... Is fish..

I juz heard news that the Euro zone is gonna crash ... If that truly happens, then the USD will most probably shoot up as everyone rushes in for it due to the instability and unrealiability of the Euro dollar ... haiz ... I guess instead of seeing the RMB weakens to SGD1 = RMB5 again ... We may very well instead see it strengthen to SGD1 = RMB4.5 ... May God bless us ...

think better consider keeping some..
from the current trend, looks like govt is going to drop SGD exchange rate to prepare our industries for the coming downtrend & slowdown.

what have i posted here that is not useful? People here wants to know what is the daily rate and I am simply helping them to predict what is the likely direction of the exchange rate.

I have shared here more than you talk cock here.

SGD1 to RMB 4.5 was the exchange rate in 2009 around march to May. That was when the stock market was at their bottom and USD peaked. USD index has been trending up and should continue to trend up and that means less RMB for SGD .
