Actually IMHO, this forum is quite a hard one to "crack" for a newbie - as busy and well established most posting here are already.

To compound the problem for us Non-Singaporean newbies, there is this added complication of not really understanding what all that you guys are saying. Singlish per se is already a chore for us....then you guys use all these abbreviations for Singlish terms!! Yowich!!

Anyway, I figure that I could/should embark on this little project not only for my own benefit - but hopefully to also make it easier for other newbies from overseas to decipher your postings and make it easier for them to join in more actively here.

GA will knock your room for spot checks. just the day before ytd, a 5 star hotel got knocked, 2 guys and girls was brought back for questioning. so the girls in CP now are pretty much terrified to go back hotels with the guys unless you sibey up. So please cheong with care, best get a tour guide if you are going down to cheong!

Just last night at Mayflower KTV, Gong An came again and did their routine checks on every floor.
They went to an opposite KTV room facing mine.
They'll randomly choose a room to inspect.
I asked the girls to get out of the room to hide first and return 30min later.
I assured to them don't worry we'll not run tips.
When the girls returned we continued the party and left around 11pm.
有惊无险. Hehehe.

If Gong An really come in KTV room and inspect.
Ask DJ to get some tea for the whole Gong An gang and cooperate fully and be polite to them.
They're just doing their job.

Most importantly stay low profile.
Break into small groups and different rooms to party.
Don't do drugs, gamble and strip in KTV rooms.
