I'll be in Phuket from the 10th to the 17th..
Staying at Pimrada Hotel: $26 a night with free wifi and no extra girl charges.
King size bed, 42" LCD TV but no bathtub..
Cheap and good food nearby and also a family mart around the corner.

just came back from phuket. Took the 150B minibus from airport to patong. It will stop at a shop to pester u to book hotel and tour but just say that you already booked ur hotel and to give the name of a hotel (maybe C&N hotel) and they will take u there.

stayed at white patong (thanks to bro dfusion for info) for the entire duration.
it's very near the walking street and at 500B/nite (now) for standard room
with free wifi and electronic safe, i thought it was quite a great deal.

there are many massage joints around offering massage from 200B/hr
but most of them quite mature-looking. I did one full-service for 1500B
after 1 hour of solid massage.

went some sightseeing during the day. it will be ideal to have 4-person so that can rent a car to go anywhere. Transport is really expensive there.

only went to taipan disco twice at nite but didn't manage to get any gals. wanted to try other disco but my buddy got sick. There is a bit of rain and "ponding" there.

for food, very little choice for chinese food although there is thai equivalent. MK Gold @ Jungceylon has nice roast duck but expensive. Shabu by Oishi is a 1hr15 min steamboat buffet for 342B/pax. Interesting concept, will be nice to have it in singapore.

also interestingly, there are many indian-looking and mynamar gals working as store asst. The indian-looking gals are actually nepalese. It seems that there are more nepalese store assts than native thai.
