Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Kloppage time + Mentality Monsters
I'm starting to see a lot of similarities with Liverpool and Utd when they were in their pomp. Liverpool are winning when not playing well just like Utd used to do, Liverpool are winning because they just don't give up, and have a great team spirit, just like Utd had. Finally they'll play to the final whistle and push and push. Liverpool scored in the 87th minute and 94th minute, and I've lost count of the number of times Utd won in the dying seconds. This bodes well for the rise of the Big Reds Machine, and just highlights how far Utd have fallen. Just watched the highlights of the game again and I'm really shocked how these VAR decisions went against us... like... Firmino's goal was clearly not offside...what the f#@k is offside by ARMPIT and if you're calling that offside for some body part other than a foot then Aston Villa's goal should be offside too... also... Mane clearly didn't dive and was fouled.. it clearly shows that... say I'm bias all you want but if the boot was on the other foot they would be saying the exact same thing... it's madness Thankfully justice prevailed in the end. Finally at the moment, after Messi and Ronaldo there is no one else as dangerous as Mane. Sadio should now be seriously considered in the running for the Ballon d'or. BELIEVE ....the journey continues..... P. S. City must be really sick and tired of us. Noticed Pep getting salty claiming Mane is a "diver". So happy to see us taking up so much space in that baldy head of his and getting under his skin. |

Lallana is quite a good defensive midfielder. His fitness is good and his ball control is amazing. Big surprise from watching the match. He should have scored though. Liverpool were really good last night. Yes the goals came late but they were constantly creating chances last night, especially in the 2nd half. I think this is the best Liverpool team I have ever seen. Yes there are good individuals from the past like Keegan, Dalglish, Owen, Fowler, Gerrard etc but this is a team filled with talent from goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders strikers etc. Even our 2nd goalie is good. Our 4th striker Origi is also good. I don't think we ever had a rightback as good as 21 year old TAA. Our left back is always a problematic area and now we have Robertson. I cannot think of a better left back for us.

That said, think Atkinson has been a better signing for them in Webb's position |

Pool should easily overcome Genk tonight. Most importantly keep all the players fit for Sunday's big match. If we beat Mcity this Sunday, likely the Epl title will be coming back to Merseyside..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
The main thing last night was 3 more points, Napoli drew and we’re top of the group.
A win, without any injury and much of sweating + almost everyone got some pitch time - I'll take that. It's about reaching KO stage unscathed, preferably as Group topper, we are on course. Shout out to Ox and Fabinho and also good to see Keita get some game time. Next up the super big one(6 pointer), City at Anfield and they have 24 hours less rest plus travelling back from Italy. What is vital is for us to be more clinical in front of goal on Sunday. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We were quite wasteful the past few matches. Keeps us under unnecessary pressure throughout the game. Salah has been wasteful. Ox is getting back into shape. To think he was Arsenal's right wingback. No wonder he wants to join us.
But we were relentless and fitness wise I think we win Man City. They are lucky that teams sit back and let them attack due to their array of attacking talent. Their attackers tend not to track back to defend. I hope we attack Man City's lack of recognised centreback. Fernandino is just 1.74 m tall. Just keep attacking this space by setting our fullbacks to cross the balls in to where he stands. Will be able to win headers which we can direct at goal or knock down for 2nd balls. Going to be a high scoring match. Plus their goalkeeper can be quite a dreamer at times. He lets in soft goals.
