What happened after 3:3 is why this team is the real deal. Assumed control, scored the goal, saw it out

Once Henderson went off followed by Wijnaldum we took back control of the game. Great subs and we didn't look like conceding after that, Henderson just went into panic mode and was rushing things, giving up possession and lacked composure, needs to have a word with himself as a captain needs to lead by example.

Not the best game for Gomez but we need to remember he hasn't played much football and thought he got hung out to dry sometimes by Trent not defending. I would like to see the coaches take Gomez aside in training and spend a hour or so teaching him how to head a ball which is his weak point.

That said we definitely missed Matip tonight. People go on about VVD making every CB he plays with better but I think VVD missed Matip, tonight.

Fair play to Salzburg. They are a good team that does not capitulate so easy. Takumi was excellent and Hwang & Haaland were very good. Ironically when Liverpool were 3:0 the scoreboard at the Kop end apparently showed 3:3 for a short time portentously

Marsch doing a kinda of Mourinho run down the pitch line when Haaland equalised was also sombering

Napoli's surprising draw at Genk also appears to opens thing a bit in the group. No place for complacency in this group.

Overall still pleased with the result and the way we didn't put our heads down after they equalised but kept our composure and got the result we deserved, impressive and shows these lads have some balls!

Brendan, Maddison & Vardy must have watched last night's match with great interest. We gotta make sure there are no sloppy seconds on Saturday!

4-3 was not the result we were expecting but a win nonetheless.

Cant afford to slack against Leicester this weekend or else we are in big trouble.

Matip was missed. Again we should have scored more in the first half. Roberto again showing his class providing assist for Mane n Salah. Credit to the young Salzburg players for the fight back.

Woke up to watch the last 35 minutes. I think it is good to struggle. We have been playing in 2nd gear for many matches. Good to wake up the players from time to time. Our front three plus midfielders have to be more clinical. Should have gone 4-1 up instead of 3-3. I like our gam management though. We basically slowed down the game with possession play. At this stage, the counter attacking Salzburg don't really dare to press and open gaps in their defence for us to exploit.

Give how Napoli drew, this is a good result to us. I see us getting 3 points in Gentz. Hopefully our players will have enough rest for Leicester.

Vvd not so commanding lately.. Could be due to Allison's absence.
Pool's defence has been very poor lately, letting in goals in almost all matches.
In the Champ Lg's match last night, the Korean striker Hwang was very impressive, he turned Vvd inside out b4 scoring a superb goal.
It's quite worrying now with all the crucial matches coming up!
Hendo cannot be playing every match, he does not have the tenacity to play in every match! It was very clear cut last night when he was struggling in midfield! Definitely not captain material imo..
