Overnight work in Penang on 8 Nov, Friday. Will look c in Betong in the afternoon, on the 9th, which is a public holiday. Back on the 10th. Second trip will be in late Nov. The date, have not been decided yet.

went on a backpacking trip last week
fly to penang & plan to travel to singapore via land transport
So made it a pt to visit betong while i'm in butterworth
unable to found cheap transport from butterworth to betong
so cough out RM150 for a taxi trip to betong which is ard 2hrs
arranged with the driver to pick me up the nex morning for another RM150 back to penang
while reaching the malaysia custom a motorbike came & offer to drop me to the town centre in betong for RM12
after i reach betong rather than getting a room at the hotel the motorbike drop me
i walk around the town & discovered that the cheaper room rate is abt 600baht which is near the stretch of road full of ktv
sori but i cant really recall the name of the hotel
something along the line betong city plaza hotel?
But in the end i stay a nite at modern thai hotel @ 690baht
rather nice room & rather close to a temple
theres also a moneychanger opp the hotel
k-mart is also along there
was hound by a okt hoping i enaged his services
promoted his gals at RM500-RM600 but went down to 2500baht when i show no interest
in the end he pass me his name card & ask me to call him if i required gals
after dinner i walk along the ktv stretch of road & end up going into the agogo "Oh Yes"
quite nice the atmosphere
the service staff dun push you to buy beer or the bracelets for the ladies
i order the beer bottle by bottle with 1 bottle @ 250baht

I took bus & train to other locations for the rest for my trip
