Big win for Spurs this evening, now going up to 3rd and on equal GD with us.

Vital for Liverpool to get a win tomorrow night against Southampton, if not there is a big danger we could slip to 5th by Monday night.

Dont care how its done, just get those 3 precious points RedMen!

Shocking Arsenal cannot draw with Spurs. Now Liverpool must win!!! Or the team will potentially have the change to move down to 5th!!! This season is a rollercoaster for many teams.

Southampton at home will not be easy.
Mentally it will affect some players because the crowd will be loud on some ex players.
Draw will be disappointing because we need a win but I think draw is a reality.

As a fan I will want the team to win. Not impossible with good playing.

We are stronger than Southampton. The players must play with high confidence and get the 3 points.

Apart from those 2 great goals by Firmino and Salah, the overall passing and ball possession were erratic, many occasions when the ball was not properly passed to other LIV player, thus losing a lot of possession.

Karius was brilliant in this game and prevented 2 sure goals

Mane was completely USELESS, he will be now called the "headless chimpanzee"

Anyway, Manure was humbled by a minnow team and now LIV is just 2 points behind

Great win. These are the kind of results that you need to be able to get consistently to challenge for titles. All that matters is the 3 pts. United's unexpected defeat is just the icing on the cake, thank you Rafa!

Performance wasn't dynamic - and it didn't have to be, but it was professional, controlled, & effective in its own way. I'll take these kind of performances away from home any day.

A special word on 2 ex-Saints:
VVD - exudes class. How good is it to have this guy in our team? Today I thought he showed all the composure, awareness, presence, and leadership skills that the very top CB's have. A commanding presence like that spreads so much confidence. Can't wait to see him next season when he has fully integrated and has a regular partner. Has to be made captain next season.

Mane - thought he was great today! Can't buy a break in front of goal at the moment but his workrate, his energy & his attitude were first class. His luck will turn soon and this guy will explode again. I have no worries about him at all.

Also big shout out to Karius, great improvement by him and hope he keeps it up!

Two other interesting things:

After netting twice, the Reds have scored three more away goals (34) than any other team in Europe's top five leagues this season, and more than they had managed in the whole of last season

Before the game, VVD got confused over the dressing rooms

We move on to Porto next with confidence!

great result by Pool, we could have scored a few more but Sotong did pack the bus for Pool.

Firmino and Salah both scored and assisted each other.

VVD and Karius were great too.

Pool have to put on the pressure and 2nd position is now very close.

A very measured and professional all round from the Reds, keeping the 2 goal lead in the 2nd half and a clean sheet in the end.
Both Van Dijk and Karius played well and Lallana looking like his old self.
You know it is going to be a perfect day with Man Utd losing and Ah Klopp's side creeping up slowly with 2 pts behind.
I know his name is a sensitive topic in this thread, but thank you
