Hi Brother Vicent,

I try to answer u with my best knowledge...if wrong I am sorry. Not a expert here.

1. If you married her and she become your wife, U can apply LTSVP for her, that will be at least 6 months(if I am not wrong).

If not another option is to extend her STSVP by 3 months at this link https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TM...ue&Reload=true
but pls note the condition which she need to fulfil "you are a foreigner with family ties where your immediate family members are Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident and you are able to furnish original supporting documentary evidence to establish relationship;"

If she wish to stay in Singapore after cancelling her student pass without getting married...I guess the most is only 2 months...1st month which will be given by ICA (that what my wife get) and 2nd month by extending her STSVP online at the same link above

2. I do not quite understand your this qns....changing from student pass to visitor pass? Once she cancel her student pass at ICA, ICA will give her social visit pass roi but how many days/months I cant give u my confirm answer (refer to my last part of answer (1)

BTW...she holding student pass here....can have business meh?

p/s: hope not the same gf which u need to pick up from hotel...

Like what Bro Sha Gua has said, if yr gf is officially married to you, then she can apply for Short term Social Visit pass first for up to 3 months. Within this period, u will need to apply for PR for her and if cannot get PR at least can still get LTSVP. You are in the education consulting business, you should make sure that you are very clear with most immigration rules And just a friendly warning to you, Vietnamese students are damm good at moving house at night after owing you a few months of rental, internet fees and other utility charges. They have become so famous doing this that most singaporeans landlord and property agents are not very willing to rent house to them.

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

Greetings to all fellow bros, especially bro SV...

One question for you:

Do all Viet wives request their family members to come over here to show support during delivery period?? This issue has been haunting me ever since my wife got pregnant...

I know some husbands of my wife's friends whose mothers-in-law came and stayed long time...Ranging from 6 months to a year...

The thought of this really puts me off...What if her family member came over one after another, and soon would have to support the whole family...

Regards,
Techno

Bro, u can sponsor yr mother-in-law to come for up to 3 months after delivery. But if your wife has gotten PR, she can arranged for her parents to come to singapore for up to 5 years. Most vietnamese spouse will request for either they go back Vietnam to deliver or let their mother come singapore. Just tell her that 3 months the max allowed by government, nothing more than that. After delivery, she will not be so free to go ICA to ask for details. When u marry viet spouse, u are marrying half their village or province Unless you have good reasons to convince your wife that her family doesn't love her, just her money. Most vietnamese parents from province use their daughters as money making machine and if your wife happen to be in the same situation, making her sense that will do you a lot of good. My wife got so pissed off with her parents and family until she don't even want to go back to province when we were in HCMC for the past 4 days
