Re: Most cost-effective way to maintain SIM card

If you bros want to be totally anonymous, this is what you do

1) My people sell "space" or "taikong" SIM cards online. Just do a search online
2) Buy a second-hand phone off Carousell and use that phone as the "burner" phone

But then again, we are all using those lines to "cheong" so we don't need to be totally anonymous. Just sign up for a prepaid SIM card from SingTel. Top up every now and again via top-up merchants or top-up scratch cards. Extending the validity of your card is cheap too...$1.80 for 6 months or something.

In Singapore, the rule is a maximum of three prepaid cards per user.

Re: Most cost-effective way to maintain SIM card

Bro, to cheong "normal" is simple.. go for those simba- although is post paid but is Damm cheap.. $10 for 100gb monthly.. or jus register yourself with any of the Telco get a prepaid card.. if kana disturb by FL OKT then cancel, no issue can cancel anytime..

if ur intention is to avoide any police detection then ask urself y? If u wanna cheong underage FL pls don't ever try.. even give u a space card, if police wan u, u still can be track. .

If the sum of topping up a Sim card is a issue, maybe wanna think of whether wanna cut off from cheonging?

Recently just try simba, not bad wor

Re: Most cost-effective way to maintain SIM card

no that's not the problem

the problem is the data plan expires every 1 month. that's worse and much more expensive to maintain.

that's the problem i am facing and wanna ask bros here, how to settle?

the ultimate singtel plan is $15 every month. $180 per year.

it is the data plan which we need in order to whatsapp. extention of validity is nothing, so little.

Re: Most cost-effective way to maintain SIM card

Thanks to all bros who replied. I do agree that $10 is a very small amount in the grand scheme of things, when each cheong session is easily more than $200 / $300. However, it's not really about the absolute amount spent for me, but rather whether it's worth it for not. If there's a cheaper option, then what point is there in taking the more expensive option when they both serve the same purpose?

For instance, as some bros mentioned, the SIMBA plan is $10 per month which adds up to $120 per year. Compare that with a normal prepaid which I can just top up ~$5 over a year to maintain the number, then the prepaid clearly wins out.

Seems like the most cost-effective pointed out is to just buy a prepaid, and then just top up once every 3 months / 6 months to extend the validity.
