Thanks for all your help & kind info.

To answer your questions.

1) I did get approval from MOM to get married.

2) Not all PRC are like gold or $$ diggers, there are exceptions. I have had 3 PRC gf at different times. They are even better than most of the Singaporeans gf that I have had. (thanks for all the warnings)

Guess I will just look for the officer- in- charge of my case & see what the problem is.

that's this clause under the work permit act that current work permit holders need to get approval from MOM before ROM. It has nothing to do with PR status , just on getting married to a local.

Chinese women does have a wide range of values, maybe more of them who are here tends to be here for 'business', there are still many of them holding on to traditional values.

I guess in the end, it depends on the finder. You know how to find, you'll get what you want. Dun be discouraged, bro, just keep on trying. The govt is making huge allowance to open our residency to many foreigners, I'm sure you'll have yours soon.
