Went to this ktv near Sheraton (if u know where it is). Man! A lot of hanky panky inside!!

Dear Brothers,

I am writing this post to serve as a warning to brothers who are in Nanjing on a joint called 乱世佳人。

After sending my girl friend back, at about 1030 pm, two friends from Beijing came to visit me, and we decided to go to a joint for some action. Took a cab and he brought us to this joint called 乱世佳人. I cannot remember the address, but it is a joint that is not visible from the main road.

We went into the joint who was at the basement of a building. We were led to a room that had a funny smell. A lady came in and started introducing the price structure (all amount in RMB): Room - 120, Girl - 100 tips , pay as you consume. Now, she did not mention that her tips would be 200 but told us during paying time. She did not mention 100 for the joint (tai fei 台费) for each girl (i.e. cost for each girl is 200) Well, it was late, and the girls were okay. We sat down.

The girls kept pestering us to buy drinks for them, and we refused. Then came a fruit plate and a tray full of tit-bits. The girls started to open the packets of tit-bits, and ate a bit from each packet. We ordered only 3 glasses of tea. We started singing, and we started to feel un-easy as we went along. We then decided to ask for the bill. The girls insisted that we should pay them the 100 tips and 100 台费. We refused and insisted for the bill to come. Then came the Mummy and started talking about the practice in Nanjing and her joint. We knew it was all bull-shit. Finally, to get out of the joint, we paid the girls. They then insisted that we must stay in the room to wait for the bill. When we insisted to walk out, the girls tried to block our ways. We pushed our way through to the bar counter and asked for the bill. After some shouting, the mummy came with the bill and walked us back to the room.

3 glasses of tea, a fruit plate, and few packets of tit-bits cost us 700. We refused to pay for un-opened tit-bits. This is definitely a cut-throat. It was not the problem with money, but the ugly practice of adding things up against our will. We forced her to explain everything even though we knew that we still had to pay after seeing four big-size men loiting outside the joint.

We paid and got out of the place. Total damage 700+2x300+200 = 1,500 RMB for half an hour.

Well, brothers, beware of this joint.

Bro PTR,I last time also kena before at SZ...Opt for a foot massage which cost at rmb 28...and the gal later demand a tips of rmb 100...The concept is like a ktv rm with massage chair..Then she start to sing at the rm and drink started to serve in...I sense something was wrong cos i din even order the drink.So i ask for bill which cost ard rmb 1200 include the foot massage and the gal's tips which i spent less than a hour.I also dun knw how the boss calculate..Hiazz since i went alone so dun wana to create any trouble for me.Lan lan pay the bill...Hiazz.. a lesson learnt...Somemore that gal wana go overnight with me...which i refused.Bro i guess tat yr cab driver sure hv some connection with the boss at tat ktv...Btw thks for the warning..

Thaks bro PTR for the warning. There are quiet a few 乱世佳人 joint in nanjing and I don't know whether they are the same owner. I think there is one in 1912. Is that the one ??

not sometimes, but almost all the time, almost all over the world!!! Esp when the taxi drivers are very enthusiastic or pushing hard 2 recommend certain joints, v likely tat he gets a commission from the joints. Similarly, when approached by street solicitors about some cheap & happening joints.

When some things sound too good to be true, it likely is.
