By right yes. But left anything goes. Just write illegibly. Just one or 2 numbers diff. Like 4 can look 9 & vice versa. And for name, just write ur surname. No need to spell out a to z. Easily answerable to mata if caught on raids.

With your NRIC, it's very easy to retrieve your home address.
