Just be careful when you go to nightclubs in HZ, a lot of them are prepare to suck you dry end of the night. I would suggest go with the locals and make sure is their regular hangouts.

One of my thai friends go to HZ very frequently, though without knowing a single word of mandarin he managed to hook girls every trip to his hotel for LT. What he usually did was to hangout near those BBS or local joints and waited for them to knock off after work! Well, probably he has all the time in the world to do just that.
