I think its about timing... Asia Hotel will have security personnel near the lifts after midnight? I think if before the security personnels come, the lady lift attendant will not question u if u bring lady up to ur room.... or before certain timing, u can sneak in through level 2's lifts without any questionings.... But another thing about Asia Hotel is .... there're too many S'poreans staying there already! Chances of meeting fimilar faces quite high! Also not forgetting some "creepy" rooms... hehe |

I had put up there 2 years ago and totally hassle free from the security guard but was updated by someone in the forum recently that this hotel is no longer guest friendly. Nice and clean room as compare to bangkok palace and eastin although it is slightly more expensive among these 3 hotels. there are quite a few small massage shops and internet cafe beside the hotel. Whereas for location wise it isn't that convenient .

The word is that joiner fees are now in place at The D'MA. I agree with you, pleasant hotel, but location a little off. The hotel has stated that there are joiner fees. However, in reality up to case by case. Security have the power to stop or not stop guests. So I say there is a guest policy, but you can be lucky not having to pay it. Be cool, act like you are doing nought wrong, and you could get away with it etc.... Happy hunting Tim |

BKK City Inn, is a hotel with a great location, Opposite The World Trade Centre. It is cheap and affordable. I have had mixed reviews about it. It is really up to the room you get at checkin. Some are ok, some are filthy around the ceiling and walls, really black. However, given the price, its hard to really complain etc. An alternative might be The First House Hotel. A small, similarly priced hotel around beginning of Petchburi. I have quiite a few samsters staying there now. Again some good and bad reviews. If anyone needs any advice, just let me know. Nearly forgot the most important part. BKK City Inn and First House Hotel both have joiner fees! Happy hunting Tim |

Re: Not Guest Friendly Hotels In Bangkok
Correction, me no stay in thailand for 10 year lah! I wish, maybe today I have 100 wives loew. I go up 4 to 5 times a year. Have thai relatives and friends there. So I say been up to thailand for more than 10 years.
Most hotels have many verbal rules if they want to be. To be honest with you all, this is the first time I heard about joiner fee. I normally bring in the girl late at night after drinking with my friends, so quite often no one around just the security guard or bell boy who coudn't be bordered. Its also easy to bride them too if they are difficult at that hour. Recep either hiding somewhere or couldn't be border cos I will speek strong english to them and they always give up. So far only once. And the only time I have to check in the girl is at Nana Hotel, no fee, one security with a table to take down the girl IC. Too many girls walk up and down at this hotel, so safety first, which is good. If you go for 2 star hotel like Rachada City, just walk the girl in. No one stop you. Only perhaps those big 5 stars one, but a number of them let you go like Marriott! The Grand Nikko, Bayoke Sky, Emerald...tried before. The rest I cannot confirm. I avoid anywhere near MBK, cos too many sillyporean antie stay there and shop like no tomorrow. YOu don't want to bring a girl in and met your neighbour in the lift do you? Anyway in the morning when you walk the girl out, which I don't, nobody care anymore..... mayb I got fuck type attitude thats why I never came across joiner fee? yeh, I'll be in BKK this thursday, over the weekend! Lucky me. |

Re: Not Guest Friendly Hotels In Bangkok
I myself have a very bad experience to share...
I book a hotel room through tour agency in Singapore... (First time i went before got to know this site... Thanks for all the advice... Now I know where to get cheap rate and lots more info ) Anyway, i book a single room... According to tour agency in Singapore, I need to pay for 2 heads ($70) to book the whole room...Well, I agree... No choice, wait tour agency assign someone to sleep with me my trip is gone... But when I reach the hotel proudly with my gal, the staffs ask me to pay jointer fee... Staff told me that I book a room for 1 person so need to pay... I was hot... I pay tour for 2 head to enjoy the room yet can’t bring the gal in... Very funny... But I stand tall over the argument... They let her stay for a night... For goodness sake, I check my rate for hotel is just ($35) for double head online… Singapore charges me double yet still need to pay extra??? Now I learn my lesson… |
