I heard many stories that PRC girls have 2 faces. In fact I have a friend that married a PRC SYT, and she's really lazy and good for nothing, even for sex. She only likes missionary, so that she doesn't need to exercise. She doesn't do housework or cook, and complaint to his friends that he is not good enough for her, although he's earning 5 figure income. Imagine they have to get their dinner everyday in the foodcourt. I also have a friend that divorce his Singapore wife and marry a PRC girl, and later regret, after the PRC girl revealed her true colors.

So far, I've not heard of any success stories, and this is a big concern. While I love my girlfriend, I don't know if I will regret later, especially wth our age difference. I jus like to hear from bros who have PRC wives to share their views here. Many thanks.

Tell her you are in deep financial woes and need her help to settle your problems. Name sum huge enough to be worrying but low enough for her to meet. Tell her about that problem frequently and then finally ask her for the money. Then see what's her response.

Bra perhaps you can look at this from an opportunity cost perspective. You're spending half your time there and you may also be concern that age is catching on, so settling down is your goal too. Apart from her, what other options do you have given the above circumstances?

There are not many 6 or 2 years to waste on relationships if you don't want to remain single. If you're not going to give this a chance, you may be missing out a great future... or you may be saving yourself from future woes - who knows better than yourself?

Case 1: My friend (look like William Hung) met this super pretty PRC girl (80% like Zhang Zi Yi) while he was studying in England. She's in the same university. After 4 years together, she told him that her parents expect her to get married soon. We told him to seriously re-consider. Is she getting married to him for his money, Singapore PR etc...

Turns out this girl (only child) is the daughter of 2 successful businessman. Her mom owns the distribution rights to a famous brand in China. Her father owns a successful trading business too. The girl is a full time stock trader now. With her connections, she gets news of mergers, dividend declarations (insider news) before the public does. My friend actually saw her bank balance before. It's about SGD$5 million and it excludes any inheritance she might get. We hear already also dunno what to say. Now she still lives in China while he flies over to accompany her whenever he can.

Case 2: Another friend met this girl in Australia while studying. She married him and relocated to Singapore. Basically, she is a thrifty sensible lady. My friend always spend beyond his means. Buys cars that are expensive and impractical. Wife got to pay 50% of family expenses, including car. I spoke to the wife before. She doesn't understand why my friend buy stupid cars (poor in quality, servicing and resale value). I'm sure you guys know some European conti brands like that. But as a wife, she told me she will support whatever decision he makes. My friend sibeh heng.

Case 3: Recently another friend told me he found a PRC gf. Age gap: 10 years. Alarm bells start ringing. This girl is here on work attachment. She got sent to his company and he's her superior at work. Sparks flew and the rest is history. After this gf told her mum how wonderful Singapore is, the gf's mum told her to apply for Singapore PR through the investor scheme. I hear already also jaw drop. It means the mum got to send at least SGD$1million to her daughter. The money must be invested in Singapore for a min of 5 years. Another sibeh heng guy.

I think times have changed. A lot of PRC are rich on their own. Don't assume that they are targetting our money. Singapore men are viewed as good husbands by PRC ladies. Naive but loving. Of course, how you get to know them is also very important. GRO in a KTV? I think I will be more careful.

There are of course success stories. Your normal everyday couple that would not make it into the news cos they are just your normal average couple that lives sensibly.

You can try cohabitating with her in PRC for a while, it's a very usual thing over in china now too, as long as her parents are not into it. Staying together will give you a window to learn of her living habits and test water.

She's only in her early 20s, she can wait a couple of years more. You ?

There are good girls and bad girls in every country. My company recently hired a Chinese girl as HR Exec and while she is good looking and attract much attention from male colleagues, she always state very clearly that she has a husband studying in the US and turns down any "proposals" from them.

Came across this blog (A China Girl's Adventures) and I can also see why some of the chinese wants to marry Singaporeans and make Singapore their home. Many come from the country side where life is tough. Imagine having to pump water out of the ground each time you need rather than just turn on a tap and get clean fresh water you can drink immediately. If I were her, I would be looking towards Singapore too...

Finally, it all depends on where you find your girls. I've seen good ones and I've seen bad ones. If you find them in KTV, Geylang and bars... high chance they could be lemons...

Guess we cannot generalise about any race... or judge a book just by its cover.

don't know if u are a chinese, if yes u are insulting your own ancestors and if not u one hell of a racist and insulting most bros here by using the word "cheena". You have certainly boost my confidence...unfortunately my girlfriend is not from a rich family. I have met her parents before, her Dad is a a subcontractor, but he doesn't make much money, and her mum is a housewife. Maybe I should just dump her and look for a rich girl? haha
