Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

i believe that capello is the right man to do the job. one of capello's strength is that he doesn't pick players based on status (whereby previous managers fail to do that). one good example is that he dare to drop beckham, owen and give players such as lennon, bently a fair chance. this is a form of encouragement and fairness for all players.

a man with his experience, i foresee there's a big chance for england to come back to the reputation that england used to have...

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

aft the 3 lions won the game against the swiis on 6th Feb 2008,i really hope that they will only get better.
but aft their outing 2 france on 26th Mar 2008,i guess Mr Capello still hv a lot of work 2 be done.

Next game is on 28th May 2008 at home against USA.
let's hope they k get the expected results.

The 3 lions will start their 2010 WCQ with Andorra on 6th Sept 2008 away.
The countries in their grp r Ukraine,Croatia,Belarus,Andorra & Kazakhstan.
Not an easy grp with Croatia & Ukraine.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

Fabio is one of the top 3 managers in Europe, England will definitely be very competitve in the next World Cup tournament, no doubt about it.

FA has done a superb job by hiring Fabio as the England manager.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

Beckham could play at World Cup, says Capello.
tis was recorded in soccernet website.

When asked by the Spanish sports newspaper Marca during an interview,on whether Beckham's England career was close to an end aft he won his 100th cap against France last month.
Mr Fabio Capello replied that he believes David k play on until the 2010 WC if his fitness is up 2 the mark & if England qualifies.

aft 2 friendlies,Mr Fabio hv another 2 more friendly games against USA(28/5/8) & Trinidad & Tobago(1/6/8) b4 the commencement of the WC2010 qualification matches get underway.

Th 1st WC2010 qualification match against Andorra on (6/9/8) shld not be a problem 2 the 3 lions,at least on paper.
It's the next game against Croatia(10/9/8) at Stadion Maksimir, that is the real challenge 2 his boys.
Th other team that could prove 2 be a threat 2 their qualification is Ukraine.

The English FA has set veri targets 4 Mr Capello.
He must led the 3 lions 2 at least the sf in the 2010 WC or 2012 EC.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

Last nite the 3 lions started their WC2010 qualifier against Andorra.
Although they won 2-nil,but they were not convincing.
The player that spared Fabio's blushes was none other ten Joe Cole.
Fabio Capello was reluctant to include JC in his starting line-up last nite.
Hope they k play better & win the next game against Croatia in Zagreb on Wednesday.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

The 3 lions would be entertaining Kazakhstan on 11th Oct 2008 at Wembley. followed by against Belarus on 15th Oct 2008 at the Dinamo Stadion.

Win these 2 games and they would hv confidence going 2 the next qualifying game against Ukarine on 1st Apr 2009.

more likely one of these "easy" games will end up as a draw.

izzit...................
we shall see whether this "more likely" prediction will come true.
Fabio is no naive & timid coach, like those past men that lead the 3 lions 2 the drains.

Re: Fabio Capello's appointment as England manager

It has been said that the 3 lions will be w/o cpt John Terry for 2nite's WCQ against Kazakhstan.
Rio Ferdinand shall be handed the cpt's armband 2nite, if terry really kannot take 2 the field.
On paper the 3 lions will win tis game.
The 3 pts r there 4 the 3 lions 2 lose.
