Out of kaypohness I went to enquire about the sea cucumbers last week and discovered that they have mainly 6 different main grades, which previously I thought there were only 3 or 4, so which one did you buy and how much was it per kg???

For those that are contemplating to go these places in the North, for once I would advise going by those group tours as it is not that costly instead of trying to DIY unless you have a lot of time to burn on discovering where to go and also backtracking when you take the wrong routes

Unless of course you have an everready long haired dicktionery cum tour guide with you all the time then this doesn't really applies

My mum buy the smaller one which she claim is bigger than what she buy in singapore. And keep take two of the sea cucumber and knock at each other to test if it hard and dry

Alamak I ask what grade & price but you tell me the size & choosing method

Being dry is one good method as means water dun add to the weight, another method is not to be fooled by the outside overall size but try to see if you can see the thickness from underneath the fold, cause too thin is also not good as it means the sea cucumber is malnourished
