Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
it's a pity that some singaporeans particularly the low income earner are rejected by local singaporean girls. They may consider Malaysians instead. Much nearer and easier to understand one another.

Not all singaporean man who marry Vietnamese gals comes from low-income group. There's a terrible misconception that as long as you marry a vietnamese gal, you have bought her from the matchmaking agency. This is terribly wrong. There are many Vietnamese spouse in Singapore that are married to high income and highly educated singaporean man. I have several real life cases. (1) Vietnamese lady married to Singaporean man. Singaporean man's family the largest shareholder of regional logistics company. Singaporean man educated to Masters level in Australia. Now GM of the logisitcs company, earning in excess of S$250,000 per annum. Stays in Condo, drives new Merc SUV, 3.5L (2) Vietnamese lady married to Singaporean man. Singaporean man Doctorate in Finance from top UK University, now businessman plying the region. Earn in excess S$150,000 per annum. Drives new 3.2 L SUV. (3) Vietnamese lady married to Singaporean man. Singaporean man engineer in MNC. Degree holder. Earns a normal salary of around S$60,000 per annum. Vietnamese wife working in private school's marketing, earning around S$25,000 per annum. Stays in 4 room flat and drives a 3 year old 1.6L sedan. The main thing is that these couples are happily married. Although there are also many vietnamese ladies married to poor singaporean chaps, but we shouldn't just equate Singaporean man with vietnamese wife as `poor and uneducated' And these couples met somewhere by themselves and is no way linked to matchmaking agencies. Times have changed, its not the singaporean man kanna rejected by singaporean ladies, but its the other way round now. Many Singaporean man have rejected the idea of marrying local singaporean gals after some bad experiences with them. |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
GARANG WOMEN
Mum of 3 kicks one woman and breaks another's nose with beer mug in pub brawl SO VICIOUS, SO THIRSTY FOR REVENGE SHE bashed a woman's face with a beer mug at a pub, breaking her nose. By Tay Shi'an 23 March 2008 SHE bashed a woman's face with a beer mug at a pub, breaking her nose. But that wasn't enough for this Vietnamese mother of three. Lam Thi Tuyet Hang, 34, also cornered another woman with several others and kicked her repeatedly. The injuries 'Slam Lam' caused were so serious that district judge Shaiffudin Saruwan described the attack as 'vicious' and 'deliberate'. He jailed the Vietnamese woman for 12 months for the pub violence. Lam, who is married to a Chinese Singaporean, has been living in Singapore since 2003. She is now out on bail, pending an appeal. According to court papers, the attack happened in October 2005 at about 11pm at a pub along Guillemard Road. Lam and her victims, Ms Alice Heing Ty, the assistant manager of the pub, and Ms Tran Thi Be Tu, a Vietnamese national, were there to attend separate birthday parties. Sometime during the night, a dispute broke out in the crowded pub. Lam and Ms Tran got into a heated argument outside the toilet, according to pub owner Sam Lee. Lam scolded the victim and pointed her finger at her forehead. When Ms Tran pushed her finger away, the fight started. Even when Ms Tran tried to run away, Lam and several other people in the pub pursued her. As she fled, she kept screaming 'people want to beat me' in Vietnamese. When she slipped and fell, she was kicked in the leg, back and head by her attackers. Mr Lee, who witnessed the fight, said he also saw one of the assailants throw a chair at Ms Tran. With the help of Ms Heing and a customer, they then tried to break up the fight. That's when the accused used a beer mug and hit Ms Heing on the face. Ms Heing said she was stunned by the attack. Reeling with pain, the victim fell to the floor with blood on her face. Despite this, she was hit more than once. Police officers arrived and stopped Lam as she was trying to leave the scene. The doctor who tended to Ms Heing said her nose was broken in more than two places, and she was bleeding from the nostril. She suffered a large bruise and a cut on her nasal bridge, and multiple bruises on her forehead and the back of her head. Ms Tran suffered light bruising and superficial abrasions over her body. At the end of the trial, Judge Shaiffudin said he had 'no hesitation' in accepting the prosecution's version, which he felt was more compelling and logical. He said: 'Together with a coterie of friends, (Lam) had hunted down Tran and then kicked at her when she was defenceless and helpless. 'If not for the intervention of Sam Lee and his pub manager, Tran might have suffered more serious injuries. RELENTLESS 'Not satisfied, the accused was relentless in her quest for revenge. 'She followed Tran into the pub and when her way was barred by Alice, she deliberately and intentionally attacked Alice with a beer mug twice on her face and head. 'The extent of the injuries suffered by Alice, on the part of her body targeted by the accused, demonstrated the viciousness of the accused’s attacks.' Lam could have been jailed up to 10 years and fined for voluntarily causing grievous hurt, and jailed up to two years, or fined up to $5,000, or both, for voluntarily causing hurt. |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
It does not matter much if you are just looking for fun at the MTV or pubs.... afterall, you are just another paying cutomer. y bother so much on whether your gal is true to you or just leeching you? As long as you do not overspend or ganna KC until your life is upside down.
But if you are considering her as a life partner... then you need to think twice. Like most gals who are here for a quick buck, their purpose is to get as much $$ as possible. If you want a good viet ger, you might have better luck elsewhere other than JC or Geylang. Anyway, the purpose of TS is to seek for advice on viet life partners. Guess in every marriage, it still goes down to the same principle. GIVE IN, UNDERSTAND AND TOLERANCE to one another will ensure the marriage works. |
