Kinda agree, in Shanghai, it’s a numbers game. Chalk that up. Also, categorically speaking, a well appointed gent with a sharp dress sense and a bit of swag, will up your SMV considerably, as compared to locals.

Have been staying at one of the main Bund area hotels (nanjing west), and i would say you got to put yourself out there as the inclinations towards foreigners are not as high as before. Probably got to lose a bit of the inhibitions of one as a foreign expat and bring yourself to the grassroots level. Still, you need to filter and target the right profile of ones that are down for it. Typically office types, singles, and those out for business trips, etc. Across the spectrum, it’s harder to just go up and meet people as there are too many of these Chinese young punks out there manifesting this PUA culture (whom they think is still relevant). Always reckon coffee stores, book places and lounge bars as most appropriate modus operandis in Mainland

The local genuine shanghai girl can't be bothered with foreigners/expats.

Usually the ones you are able to pick up for a ONS are 外地 from other poorer cities.

Not sure what you're trying to say. You said it depends then go on to make the point Shanghai ladies treat their male partners like shit. That's case in point. Shanghai ladies 不稀罕. They're more international and knowledgeable than most guys who bother to hit them up. Most of them have been given luxury and good life by their parents so they don't succumb to cheap tricks by prince charming.

Shanghai, or China in general, the ladies can be rather open. If all stars aligned, you can be in a romp within the first date. ONS, FB or a BGR. If you can't bed them by 3rd date, likely won't happen leh.
They don't play hard to get like those in SG, less inhibited and open to try new stuff. They might actually know more tricks than some of us.

My point in response to OP was about hooking up with a local 土生土长 shanghai lady who is much more sophisticated, knowledgeable and probably more effluent than the local Singaporean.

If you are talking about hooking up with ANY 2 legs that wears a skirt in shanghai then of course it's easy. Plenty of dongbei girls, yunnan girls, guangxi girls, all from village, working in shanghai who will be easily impressed by your foreigner/tourist/expat status.

If you are as candid as your signature, then you wouldn't have mentioned about high points and high power. What can all these points and power do? Can't even get a packet of Fisherman free.
There are plenty of others who trade points thus making them useless.
Anyway, who are we to say whose POV is right or wrong? We are merely sharing our own experience. I just do not think only the ladies from Shanghai to be worldly and smart. Those from other cities also have smart ones.
