she's been msging him almost everyday..talking about stuff like showing him to her parents. Just feel a bit uneasy about this whole affair, scared later duno got what kind of pattern.

See parent only... No worry.no pattern. Just let your friend know he need to open eye and close his heart. Do not need to pity thier living condition and compare to sillypore (if its bad). Its normal in vn.

I have met 4 other vb parents/family (exclude my bx family). All just simply eat and drink and ask question. Nothing more.

In fact they like foreigner to visit them as they got chance to gain face value among the neighbour. Till today, whenever i come vn, my FIL house sure got guest waiting to see me.

yes...many sinkees median income is S$ 3-4k...

but household median income can be

Example 1
father working - earning $3k per mth
mother not working
son working - earning 4k per mth
daugther working - earning 3k per mth
Total household income - S$10k...

Example 2
hubby working - earning 5k per mth
wife working - earning 4k per mth
2 small young children
Total household income - S$9k...

Median n mean/average is different. This only show where we stand. Yeah n its household income not individual

Median monthly income from each member of the household also rose from S$2,247 in 2013 to S$2,380 in 2014. This is an increase of 5.9 per cent in nominal terms, or 4.7 per cent in real terms.

This is more reflective of reality in singapore than household income. And that is provided every one do not under declare income tax. Though in europe and us, the income tax is even worse.

Think about in the US, in your lifetime, you can only give out $6.4M worth of gifts untaxable...
