Hello Guys,
I will be going to Manila next week and I've been reading through the posts and i have some questions:
1- I will be staying in makati, how far is MBC from Makati? What is a good time to go there? can you go during day time, if yes, how early?
2- is there a place in makarti that I can go to during the afternoon to hunt for FL? what about night time?
3- What is the happening club in Makati or near makati to pick up chicks?
4- Is there a massage place in makati with FJ included? safe and clean.
5- Last time I was there a guy stopped me and told me that he can take me to the dorms to pick chicks? is that a good idea.

I will never trust any filipino or filipina wanted to bring me to some places in Manila. Maybe in the province but definitely not within Metro Manila.

1) Makati to MBC - as said before: 15 minutes to 3 hours depending upon traffic ..

2) RTF - Havana has a bit of talent, but the talent favours white men over asians, generally, as the talent is a mix of OLs and not .. OLs don't want to be tagged as hookers, as the asians do .. but want some pocket money (as was told by many Havana girls whom I hooked up .. I had help )

3) Clubs and chicks ? a borderline dangerous game, as, often natives are quick to draw battle lines .. if you value your hide, pick up FLs, from known FL joints, or if you have a local 'support' then get the local to chat up the FLs .. atleast ice breaker .. the locals who go clubbing range from call center people to people who have omni-present bodyguards ..

4) MP ? Had, and have, but, some do gooder has been tipping the police in TV Patrol / Radyio enquirer and going around busting such MPs .. I dont' personally mix MP with FJ - ever since I was a kid

5) echoing niGht-eYe: for #5, worst idea .. though there are those who had success ..

A many more lost all their stuff and even were taken back to the room to pay more .. but dare not complain or file police report ..

When there are places will less trouble, why invite trouble over ? Avoid making friends (including foreigners- as a friend made friend with an american only to realise the american whacked his drink on my friend .. cheapskate .. ) and especially natives who come up and say "I met in you in SIngapore .. "

For MBC girls, still be a bit vigilant, as some may be enticed to pull a fast one.

manilaboy2007: I know enough people, in Manila, who can take me around and form a sense of security layer (not weapon but hey, a local around helps .. ) and I trust them to even let them stay put in my room when i am out ..

Of course, I will never do that with STRANGERS .. and don't see why I need to make friends ..

Dont get me wrong bro, What I mean is total strangers who often to show u around suddenly out of nowhere. Got a few 'bodyguard' in Manila if required to show me around too but most time I don't like to hang around too long in the metro. Like to head straight to the beach and out of city life. hee

Compared to a robbery in Malaysia, where the house-owner was relieved of all his money and gold, in PH, normally, such stuff is followed with a .38 .. so .. better stay out of trouble, says me .. even though the Malaysian police never catch thiefs and robbers, robbers there don't terminate witnesses .. unlike in Phil ..

Havana is located in Greenbelt 3 at Makati Ayala. Hotel Intercontinental is in Makati Ayala too. There is a lot of malls there, such as SM, Glorieta 1-5, Landmark, Greenbelt 1-5. All malls is within walking distance. Ask the security guards in the mall wearing guard uniform for directions.

Look at Mandaluyong also .. a lot of properties coming up .. wiht not many buyers ..

The taking up rate for Flair Towers is pretty good. The price had gone up at least twice since launch. The thing about Mandaluyong is the quality of air there. It's bad. But the location isn't too bad. Smacked in between Makati and Ortigas. It's an ideal location for a couple when one works in Makati and the other in Ortigas. Furthermore there are alot of call centers there. Getting tenants wouldn't be a problem. A 60 sqm 2 BR can accommodate 6 tenants. If each will pay 6k your ROI is easily 13% per annum.

There are alot of rogue agents there. You need recommendations. And the people who recommends must be those who had dealt with the agents before.

I am not a guru. But I do have a fair bit of investments in PI. It's really difficult to trust them. They will lie right under your nose. The key to investing is location, location and location. Then it's getting the right agent that will look after your interest. That's not difficult.

You are right I went to Icon last time I was there and it was empty ! maybe i went on the wrong day. It was not happening. Any ideas why that is?

Well, you couldn't blame them, considering many a filipino has this plan to make million peso .. by nook or by crook .. the thin line between legal and illegal goes hazy at that point, considering the way the country is run, only the rich get richer and others, well, they can never get rich .. And a deal to screw a foreigner with a jacked up propery prices is a sure win way, and, well, foreigners have money right ? so what is wrong to relieve foreigners of their useless money ?? I saw a beachfront property in Batangas, listed from 30 million peso to 5 million peso - same property, different agents. I asked a friend who operates in Talisay and the reply came back saying the property can be had for less than 5 mil !

The key is to find a person who is not going to screw you royally, than the commission they will make on a sale, not commission + 100 % of property price as retirement fund.

Fortunately I do have such friends, who, even when in rotten situations will not think of screwing me first before looking for alternates .. and that they are the equivalent of Singapore middle class goes a long way make me at peace ..

Talking of businesses, the oligarchs are even involved in shopping cart businesses to jeepney leasing so much so, they are squeezing every drop out of the common filipino all the while fattening their pocket and ensuring there is no viable competition, i..e competition from 'outside the family' - Tans, Lopezs, Ayalas, or Sys or Cojuangcos or Gokongwei .. ' and nobody with no political connection and lacking a mass of hero worshipping crowd can ever prosper ..

No wonder every filipino wants to run away from their country or try to find a get-rich-quick scheme

BTW, a reminder: Be safe, don't show off money, avoid strangers who offer to show you young chicks, unless you can fight your way out, and also avoid buying viagra and all from street vendors, as most are setup - they will palm you white powder and a minute later cops will accuse you of being drug dealer. Considering even the cops earn less than 300 $ a month, a foreigner is like $ sign and a dumb foreigner is like flashing $ sign with reminder to 'come, screw me baby .. '

Same goes for guys who get introduced to 'young virgin girls' .. if you want young girls, got to AC, atleast there is a system in place.

If you wanna play safe, steer clear of youngish looking girls.

I have more than enough friends who have had the frights of their lives, when they picked up girls, and when in the room, a causal check of the IC revealed them to be 15 or 16 .. sure recipe to see your name in the Inquirer news and ABS-CBN ..

How do they get into bars ? well, there is no national IC, so they keep a 'fake ic' .. like some shopping mall id, or so, as long as there is a photo and a date of birth, no questions .. (hence the cops insistance on using dental verification to verify the age of the suspected minors .. )
