Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Daniel Sturridge has signed a new 5 year deal with Liverpool. The contract which will run till 2019 sees the forward pocketing £150,000-a-week.
Sturridge has scored 36 goals in 50 matches for The Reds since his arrival from Chelsea for £12 million in 2013. |

Recall Dirk played well in the 2007 CL final against Milan. Still think if Rafa played Crouchie together with Dirk at the start, the Reds may have pulled off the double against Milan.

A win at last, I will take them 3 points thank you very much!
This should help lift the Reds confidence level, very much needed. Lallana is thus far turning out to be the best summer signing. However Liverpool's defence still looks dodgy, BR and his coaching staff really have their work cut out for them. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I have to say this, I watch the full match & I thought Lallana was horrible.
Lucky he got the goal if not sure tio Anfield crowds whistle.. We were wondering whether does he know how to control a ball Mario came on as sub fired up....but as usual fire burnt out in a short while yea, 3 points nevertheless...

Mario especially is a big con job which fooled everyone but have been found out now by BR and the rest of the coaching team. He came with a big reputation.... but his ball skills are mediocre. BR was shocked that Mario CANNOT dribble with the ball when the whole team warmed up with ball drills and Mario keep losing his ball. Furthermore his tactical awareness is zilch. He is good on deadball situations but dun ask him to run into scoring positions or create space for others cos he does not know where to go! No wonder all his previous teams were so keen to unload him..... even the new Italy manager Conte does not want Mario in his team despite him not having any experienced strikers in his squad for the coming Euro qualifiers. |

Luis Suarez was an example of the type of striker that Liverpool needs..... someone who is very mobile and can create space for others. Strikers in the similar mould are Lionel Messi, Marco Reus, Mario Goetze ....... these are the type of players whose playing styles can complement Liverpool's way of playing. |

I have to admit it was to difficult to watch the game. The penalty should not have been given. Referee kelong. Glad that AL finally scored his debut goal. Happy for Henderson as well. Lambert is definitely much better than Mario.Liverpool should revert back to playing 2 strikers upfront. What matters most is the result and 3 points. Well done Reds.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It was a real pain to watch especially the first half. Totally unrecognizable from the team of last season. Granted nearly 50% of the team that started are new players. But where was the possessive football that BR used to emphasize? Lambert added a little extra sting in the attack but hardly effective. Mario can see he was trying to improve on his performance and made some good through passes especially to Raheem Sterling, unfortunately if the ball had not hit Sterling on his knee for the second touch which push it further from him, I think Sterling could have brought the ball down and finish it off. But some how I got a feeling the rest of the team didn't really like playing with Mario.
