Lately that have been few postings that showing the interest on how the organizer making money in CP, one of them is the one that posted by bro Ronaldo (as above; I used the quote with his permission one hor...).

Some more, someone was calling my nick with red font, size 7 and bold!! Hehehe...

OK, in order not to disappoint the bros here, I will share how the organizer making money and why you should engage the services from the organizer.

I think I stand a better position to explain since I am the "Registered Adviser", hehehe...



Before talking about the earning, lets first clarify the stand point of the organizer.

Bro Ronaldo explained with the "assumption" of what "he think", but I will explain with the real fact.


Hotel room
If you do not know anyone from the hotel or you do not know how to nego, and if you book the room yourself, you will get the less discount compared to the organizer.

For example, for Miraton Duluxe Single room, if you book yourself either call in 0769-83028888 or via the website: http://www.miratonhotel.com/english/wsdf.asp, you will either get the full price (during the peak season) or the max 35% discount, which the rate room is RMB368 for weekday. But if you book it via the organizer or the travel agent, the price is only RMB338, which you can save RMB30.

The organizer is not getting the profit from you but from the hotel.
The point here is, won't you happy by paying less?
(And also save the hassle by booking yourself)

In order to get the nice rebate from a particular hotel, the organizer needs to meet the booking quota. Taking CP hotel in general, avarage it is 5 rooms a day.

(That is why most of the organizers will only promote few hotels, so that they can have the higher sales. Because if you only book few rooms a month, very unlikely the hotel management will entertain you)


Then, here comes to another point, how much the organizer can make?

The earning on the hotel room is RMB10 - RMB50, depending on the room type and the quota amount. Take XGX for example, from their "internal news", just a lucky hotel itself, their average booking is 30 rooms a day. If you take the low side of RMB20 per room, that is RMB18,000 per month.
(But of course their rebate is higher than RMB20)

That is why they can afford to have 3 offices (2 at lucky 1 at bandao), 6 assistant PRs, with the average salary of RMB3,000 each, and the recruitment still going on.

But if room booking is less than 50 a month, I would say forget it; the phone calls, time and effort that you put in is not worth to justify the earning.



KTV
KTV is the most complex one, there are too many ways and too many sources can earn money.
(And this is the most profitable source of income, if you really do it well)

From the very beginning of the room booking, until drinking, girl sitting...

But after all, instead of looking at the organizer's profit, you should compare the difference between joining the organizer and going by yourself.

Take the small group of 3 for example. If you have 3 red wines (2 free 1) with mixers (mixer no free) plus the table charge plus the MM soft drink, the bill will be about RMB800 without KJ fee. This is consider as a conservative drinking, it is not counted if every bro takes more than 1 girl and those mummies keep coming into the room bottoms up with you.

The KTV fixed cost is the table charge and the KJ fee, if you join the bigger group, those costs can be average out.

On top of that, the organizer will stand a better position to ask for the greater discount and the freebies, which you may not aware how to it if you are not the frequent cheongster.

The average discount will be 10%-30% on the total bill.

Discount is only one of the way the organizer can help you to save the cost, there are also others. One simple example, the drinks that commonly welcome by sporean/msian are red wines and chivas, by purchasing the jiu-ka in advance, one chivas is only RMB333 compared to the normal rate of RMB580.
(in this case, even the organizer sells you at RMB400, that is still a save of RMB180 for you.)


Earning wise, it will be the endless writing if I would point out every single item in detail.

Hence, I will only give one example.
If you book the room from a KJ, in most of the ktv, the KJ will receive the reward from the ktv management, generally is RMB100 per room. On top of that, the KJ will have priority on the queue next day, that very likely she will get the business for 2 consecutive days. And also, by booking the room herself, the KJ will be ceased from the room booking penalty.
With such win-win situation, some organizers do collect the reward rebate from the KJ (generally is RMB100 per room).

Meaning, upon step into the KTV, the organizer already making money. But again, it is not getting the money from you, it is from the KJ to the organizer, which anyhow you won't get it if you book the room yourself.

There are at least 6 or 7 methods or even more to make profit from the KTV session. But in order to make the real money, again, we are talking about quantity and volume.
If your booking on a particular KTV is less than 10 rooms a month (that is average 2 or 3 rooms a week), again, drop the idea of making business. You could take the small profit of covering your drink, but that will never get you far to cover your daily expenses.


Besides these, the money making also apply to sauna, BBS, transport, golf...


But the whole idea is, by engaging the services from the organizer, you should potentially pay less than the normal rate.
Being it the hotel room, the ktv or others.

Also, I am explaning the earning in general, but it does not mean that all the organizer are doing for money purposes, after all, different people may have different intention and different interest...

And frankly speaking, being an organizer is not easy, planning for the trip, drafting the agenda, doing the bookings, calling for the reservation... All this need time, effort and cost.

On top of that, there are many factors need to consider, especially those unexpected incidents like when people drunk, they throw the cups or even break the table (these are to my true experiences)... The the organizer has to stand up to handle these cases, it is really a challenge on handling the uncertainties.

And sometimes, when the event gets mess up, it may not be the sole responsible of the organizer, but could be other factors that you do not aware...

I fully understand these feelings as I am doing it myself.

So, next time, my personal suggestion is, before you throwing your mood and complaining the organizer is "not good", maybe you should first check with the organizer what was going on and what went wrong...


Lastly, this posting is not to side any parties, but to give the better picture openly on how the organizer can earn the profit, and the benefits of engaging the organizer's services...
