Chapter Six: Mr Challenger

I did not give the nick "Mr Challenger" for Mr Challenger. I heard it from various model sisters and photographers.He earned his nick as he liked to challenge models to do something during his shoot with them.

According to one senior model that I worked with during an event, he used to be very famous and well respected.

He was famous for doing lingerie and implied nude shoots in black background. The control of his lights was done nicely which showed the beauty of the model's shape.

But soon he became money-minded and began to scam clients as well as models. His photography business went bust as a result, but somehow he was still loaded enough to scam young models for his paid shoots.

I did not quite understand why would someone with skills wanted to pay models for shoot until one day my friend Meow came crying to me...

That was when the most frightening incident started to happen to me...

Mr Challenger:

"Why were you crying?" I asked Meow in a concerned look when she came to my house.

"I got scammed. That bastard made me do all sort of things and all I got was miserable $50." Meow explained.

I got Meow to tell me in more details.

She was approached in Facebook by Mr Challenger a week ago. He told her that she was photogenic and wanted to ask her to meet up for a discussion at a hotel room that he booked.

During the discussion, Mr Challenger started to tell Meow that he was taking part in an international lingerie photo contest in overseas. So he needed a winning photo to get the top prize of US$10 000 plus a chance to learn from a well known photographer in USA.

As she was one of the three models he selected, he would be choosing from three of them. The selected one would be given $1000 in total (for getting selected and doing the proper one hour lingerie shoot later) while the remaining two would be just be paid $50 for the joining effort.

To make it more convincing, Mr Challenger showed Meow the other two models' pictures on his iPhone which were either too skinny with poor skin or too plump and short. It seems obvious that Meow was going to win for sure.

Meow blindly agreed to take part in Mr Challenger's selection and did all the 5 challenges that he instructed her to do (the challenges would be explained at later part of the story, as there were actually more than 5).

A week later, which was the day Meow came to me, she got notified by Mr Challenger that she was not selected. The skinny model got selected instead as she was performing very well in the challenges and she looked gorgeous with makeup on.Meow found it too hard to believe then started to suspect that everything was a scam.

So after telling me everything, Meow begged me for help to get even with this scammer and exposed his lies. Being soft hearted, I agreed to Meow's request, which became one of my regrets in Life later on...

Mr Challenger:

The actual plan was actually quite simple. Meow got help from her friend that sold spy camera and installed it into my bag and my task was to be a bait and record down the whole thing of what Mr Challenger told me to do, such that Meow could later use the video to prove that Mr Challenger is indeed a conman.

The next step of getting Mr Challenger to be interested in me was very easy. I simply added him to Facebook and liked a few lingerie pictures that he posted as portfolio. As my Facebook was already full of my pictures, he messaged me quite fast after a day or so. He used the same old tactic that he used on Meow.

So the day came. I was on the way to meet Mr Challenger at the hotel room that he arranged. Meow and a few guy friends would join me later after an hour or so once I sms them that I got the video recorded.

As I reached the hotel, which was along central area, I got a message from Mr Challenger that there was a change of plan and we had to do the discussion at another room as the previous room was leaking water somehow.

"It should not affect much to the plan" I thought to myself as all I needed to do was to sms the room number later to Meow and her friends.

As planned, I entered Mr Challenger's hotel room and placed my bag (with the spy cam switched on ) on the table facing Mr Challenger from an angle.

Soon, the discussion started. He started to question on my body stats and past experiences on modelling. Then he popped out the fake contest issue to me and asked me if I was interested to take part after showing me two models pictures on his iPhone, which appeared to match the descriptions by Meow - one skinny and one plump. I nodded and agreed.

"So let me throw you some challenges to see if you are indeed the model I am searching for." Mr Challenger gave me an evil smile.
