Actually bro, there's no rite or wrong in that concept. It all depends on individual needs & focus.

If one has micro needs, leeching on to the winning team for personal benefits, is quite normal. Usually suited more for those who take more than they can give.

On a macro need, one sees the world around him, knows how everything happening around him WILL inversely affect him one way or another.

As I hv mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I belong to the contented but my views r macro.

As the video above mentioned, our govt seems very selective on what kind of FTs they want to attract and keep. These talents that they so seek to attract are either the mega rich or the highly paid.

These talents will come over here with their tons of $$$ and big pay cheques, spend in our country and generate more job, which is perhaps also what our govt is seeking. I personally know a few FTs that each own quite a few properties and cars. This could be one of the contributing factor to our increasing property prices and COEs and all the inflations we are facing. The raise may benefit some of us, i.e. the wealthy gets wealthier, but sad to say, the normal working class will be the ones to suffer from the repercussions (me being one of them).

I am appreciative of being a Singaporean. We are one little country with a good and efficient govt that not many can match. However, that does not mean all the policies and decisions they make will always be right. I personally feel that our society is becoming more and more an elitist society where only the fittest will survive. Those who can't catch up will be left behind to die. However, this has made our society a very stressful one to live in. The high cost of living and stressful environment is precisely one big reason why so many of us are not producing enough kids to carry on the legacy our forefathers have built. Somehow, our govt are either just not seeing it or chose to ignore it.

When people make noises, there must be a problem. When more and more are making noises, there could be a BIG problem. Hopefully, we would not need to wait for the noises to be LOUD enough before our MIWs can wake up from their dream world of elitism.

Remember, we are all part of the country. The country is made of of it's people and not only the govt. We all have the right to voice out our opinions.

let me tell you i have other friends in singapore that businesses, the reason
they hire foreigners is because can buy their experience and ceritifcates,
