Sure just 7 hours? From SZ to XMN is about 700km .. so that is averaging 100km/h .. including all the stops and city roads? My friend took that coach b4 .. 12 hours

Wan fast then fly ... Xiamen airline or Southern airline sometime can get cheap price... RMB200 is the best i have seen so far

That train from GZ pass thru DG. It's the same route.

Use this site to check for pricing of air ticket. As to where u want to fly out from is ur problem. How we know which part of DG u at, some is closer to GZ well others is SZ. But GZ should have more flight as the airport is bigger.

The fastest n easiest way should be taking plane. Anyway train in china is not that cheap compare to plane.

Try Super 8, Days Inn, Hantin. They are Chinese budget hotel chains. About S$60 per night. You ask for breakfast and check whether room rate includes tax.

Now is school holidays in China.
Train tickets are not easily bought, better buy days in advance.
Train Timing should be around 9 plus at night boarding time at Dongguan. takes 12 hrs to reach Xiamen. about 250 yuan K297 or 200 yuan K229 for a bed.

Shenzhen coach takes about 8 hrs (night coach) to reach Xiamen, only morning and night coach available. about 170 yuan private operators , 250 yuan coach station.

For flights , now the airport tax etc is 190yuan have to be added to the ticket price.

Personally I prefer the one in XiaHe Road (opposite sheraton hotel). Didn't find much recent postings from this thread and decided to just try outcall massage services posted on websites. Would like to warn bros here not to use such sites in particular to this telephone#: 15821446675.

The OKT was a male who just wanted to speak English, though he sounded Chinese, and was rude. I suppose in this way, he can ask for high price. Girl sent was late, over an hour off and was nothing near what was posted. Cost charged was high RMB850 and the experience was poor.

Was staying at Pan Pacific.
There were individuals outside the hotel, giving out calling cards for special services with beautiful pictures on them. I had my doubts but what the hack. I didn't have a good "hunting" week. Couldn't get any worst off. So on my last day, decided to give a try. To my surprise, they did sent a SYT, very fair, from Szechuan. Kind of regretted for not calling earlier.
Nonetheless, just to share a possible option to consider.
