Transport cost is generally cheap in Batam, why bother to walk ? For me, I either take GoCar, Grab Car or taxi wherever I go in Batam , no matter how near is the distance. I don't even want to walk for 400m in SG, let alone walking in foreign country which is a lot more risky.
Good morning bros, I need some advice pertaining to bringing bigger sum of sgd to Batam, eg SGD10,000. What is the most hassle-free way to bring $10,000 into Batam? Will I face problem trying to change to rupiah at money changer?
Normally, I use TransferWise for sending fund to Indonesia, but never as much as $10,000. Highest I have send before is only couple of thousand.

There is no ceiling on the amount of foreign currency that can carry into Indonesia, however if you bring in over RP100 million, you need to declare, a lot of questions asked. You may encounter problems if you're bring in large amount of cash into Indonesia but traveling there without business permit. They may accuse you for doing business there illegally and demand "kopi" money. S$5000 is alright, i've bought such amount of cash into Tg Balai and Batam almost every time i go to these places, no problem. However i alway keep the cash separately onto my body, just keep a couple thousand in my messenger bag as i don't want all my cash undergo X-ray scan at Indonesia custom. Changing large amount of cash at money changer also no problem, however i normally go to several money changers on different day and change in smaller amount, not large amount at one go at one money changer as I don't want to attract the attention from others. Indonesia is not as safe as Singapore, i alway remove all my gold jewelry and Rolex gold watch before i go. Unlike in Singapore i can wear my $30,000 Rolex gold watch and $15,000 gold necklace and gold bracelet daily wherever i go.

Thanks. As I need the money in Batam to make payment, I overlook that today is PH in Singapore, hence bank no open. I just tried to send the fund through, and it went through with issue. Initially it was telling the fund will arrived tomorrow (17/5) hence I was contemplating bring cash in large denomination. But, all is settled now. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks. It's been a long 2 years since I last step in Batam... Nice to be back. Especially for my wife, she's been craving for Indonesian food.
There indeed has been rise in robbery and snatch theft cases, especially around residential (perumahan) area, not sure about Nagoya/Penuin area though.
Few days ago, i was riding home to my rental housein Sekupang, encounter snatch theft happening before my eyes. I wasn't the victim though..
Today, one of 💆lady from batam WA me, $130/2hrs full service. Heee no sure whether to go for it
That depends on individual preference. For me, i prefer LT, during pre-Covid period, i used to go to Tg Balai twice every season, staying there between 2 to 4 days at a time, mainly because of long booking hours. I can have the girl i book staying with me for 24 hours a day for 4 days. Unlimited creampie.

Wow, that must be expensive. Few thousand? Use calculator on $120/2hr x24x4

$150 at most, daddy & mummy can even give discount if booking for 3 or 4 days straight. I rarely change girl, I've go to the same girl everytime I go to Balai for 2 years, during that period of time, I didn't even go to villa, just waiting for my cewek at hotel, giving her between RP6 to RP10 million for 3 or 4 nights which include booking, tips and gifts. So just around $200+ a night, $2000 more than enough for everything. She is young, pretty and sexy and most importantly I can have unlimited creampie with her, never get infected with VD even I fuck her raw for countless times over 2 years.
May u be blessed with a willing body, monster hard-on, powerful penetrating thrusts, enjoy everlasting orgasm and with each squirt experience a thousand volts of euphoric exaltation throughout your anatomy....
Fellow Singaporeans going to batam/Balai this week onward..... Please behave well while passing through their immigration checkpoint. Last Monday, it's already in Indonesia TV, a group of indonesians were deported from Tanah Merah ferry and terminal will make a complain to SGP Embassy as to why no reason were given to them. Just take care ya. No talking while queuing n no hp, even playing with it or replying messages.... Do not give an opportunity to deport you.
It happen before few years back, when a group of jakarta people were deported... As they are from rich families, they make a complain to the local immigration and many sgporeans were caught off guard. Safe journey n behave well until you are out of their checkpoint. Just my reminder to all fellow sgporeans.
