im sharing my bit on this fortune telling thread.

if anyone went to waterloo street or si ma lo near bugis, u may happen to see a man in his 60s performing supernatural arts on street... my dad got an amulet from him and my dad told me he is really somebody who has "power".

Was there with my parents and saw him performing one day and i was selected to help him out with a stunt he is going to perform. i was told to hold an amulet on my left hand tightly and he will stroke a bunch of burning joss sticks on my right arm... strange enuff, i dun feel any burning on my arm and he gave me the amulet as a token of thanks... i took his name card and found out that he oso do fortune telling...

cut it short...

i went to him and asks about fortune luck and after some card reading he say the 5 ghost is eating my fortune... he made me amulets and gave me instructions on how to perform a simple rituals and tell me to stick to my own 4D number for 1 month and it cost me $150..

true enuff, it came up third prize on the 2nd week.. but i forgot to buy it haizzzz...

it seems to me he is SOMEBODY... u guys can try to look for him... my dad says his charges is high for some rituals... he oso help ppl to get rid of black magic... maybe some bro know him here, he call himself 七星剑仙。。

Sorry to say that these street folks are dubious and usually if it is easy for them to cast black magic to make the victims to do their biddings if they wants. Giving u some numbers to try is to lure u into their traps to make money. Most of them even have small ghosts to help them to do their biddings. If they give some aumlet, what if the is some "dirty" things that process you and it will be even worse and messy to handle.My warning is try them at your own cost!!!!
Better to look for some master of well-known and with intergirty, rather than hanker after small cheap fortune!

BTW those folks who are trying to earn a living on the street, it is best to stay away from them. Those thai or combodian rituals and mao shan arts could endangers, nothing comes free!

Bro i have nt yet seen the teller u have given the ctc to me. i went to see mulin and found out he is a thai monk. this sunday he ask me to come for chanting at his place.
Read ur post and realised my dad yest told me to be careful of this type of thai monks
now was doubting whether wan to go this sunday a nt

I think, for any good monks, their main duty is not to do fortune telling.
their main job is to study the buddhist teaching and doctrine and upgrade themself, at the same time also teach people to follow this path.Along the way, somehow somewhere they gain certain power or six sense, so they are able to foresee once future. So some of them give you some advice, or what we call fortune telling. At the same time, monks need to live in this earth, and need money to spread the buddhist teaching, build temples or centers, they accept some donation and in exchange give you some tips, some time out of compassion, also give you some hints to avoid something.

I think it's a matter of how indiidual preceive fortune telling. Overall issue is, just listen n filter urself and hope 4 better things to come forward.

As I was around Clark Quay area last week and remembered about the stall mentioned here, I decided to try and find the stall and pay the shifu a visit.

But have to say I left feeling abit disappointed from my 1st fortune telling session.

Actually the session started off pretty impressive - the uncle immediately start off by telling me not to reveal anything about myself - he will tell me instead.

However, his "analysis" of my life were pretty off - those areas of my life which he said i had trouble (i won't elaborate here), were actually the more satisfying parts of my life.
And those aspects of my life which he said I was doing well, I was actually failing miserably...

And as for his predictions about my career, he said he could tell that my job is one that use brain and mouth instead of manual strength (quite obvious since i was wearing shirt and tie when i was seeing him haha...), i found most of those things he said seemed like based on common sense and my body language...

But nevertheless, it was still a new experience...
