Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Anyone coming up to say AC is the hero now
Not me still Didn't managed to watch the game prolly waiting only for the FA cup only. At least good to rest those stars for that game.

Makes me wonder how much more must Maxi do to earn a place in the starting 11. Such is KD discrimination against him, he will be lucky to see a place on the bench for the FA semi.
AC seems to play better only when he leads the line only. Maybe LS dazzles him too much with his skills and dribbling..

The jury is still out on AC, frankly not convince on his ability to lead team in the scoring department even thou this round he came up with the match winner. One swallow doesn't make a summer as the saying goes.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
only Liverpool fans will find negatives in a win. Carroll scored and had a good game still fans find a way to bash him. Great time to be a Liverpool fan...
I enjoyed the team's performance. I might be in the minority but I liked how the team plays without Suarez. There was noone hogging the ball, trying to win freekicks etc. The game had more flow without so much stoppages Kudos to Johnson, Agger and Henderson who I thought had a good game. I share the sentiments that Jones doesn't look confident in goal, really hope Agger and Skrtel start at Wembley cos that would really tighten the defence. |

Converting chances by scoring when given the oppotunity is all strikers evaluation criteria same as midfielders assist and defenders and goalie ability to stop goal and mgrs results overall. Sadly despite all the hype that kk rejoins us, as a mgr in this heavily commercial sport, he is very lost AC ..forget about him, but we can't sell him isn't it..unless there is a change in the ownership who is willing to make a bug financial loss in such a short period

1 win in 8 games is not normal, we can't just be looking at this ratio and be ecstatic about it isn't it .. Carroll performing well once in a blue moon is not right for Liverpool isn't it..is this the way to justify his wages and trf fees..you rarely see Sg or LS or agger or bellers underperforming so many games in a row isn't it .. That's my stuck up view anyway..diff ppl have diff view is normal because we eat diff rice and come out from diff holes mah

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
A lot of players joined us due to our past history ( the most recent one is year 2005 CL when we under Rafa ) and not what we are now
The players mind set need to change what past is past now as it don't generate result beside memories As we can see teams when comes to Anfield doesn't fear us anymore not they improved tremendously but we no longer the force we expected to be Of cos injuries does contribute of what we are now but there is still alot senior players in the squad so no excuses of poor performances KD if u can hear us please get the players from the youth team let them had a run as u might never know they can be the Jeremy Lim version in BPL |

Bellamy hasn't been consistent since his "ïnjury" and as for Suarez, maybe I expect too much but he hasn't impressed me this season. Watching Suarez play makes me miss Torres more and more. Agger and Skrtel have been the only consistent players throughout. As for wages, like I mentioned before, the club decided these players were worth the money, so that is a problem with whoever decides Andy Carroll etc was worth their huge wages and transfer fee. All we can do now as fans is get behind these batch of players and King Kenny. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Torres is a 1 season wonder..his luck ran out in the 2nd season until now..
Stevie nv underperformed consecutively matches same for bellars ..on the other hand AC does it many matches on a row yet he justify 1st 11 consecutively..不了解... Everyone mentioned the 4 failures of signing performing better in their old clubs is because Liverpool had always been in the frame of the whole world not only in England like other clubs. Hence players are more pressured to live up to the name of Liverpool ..how many can really do that.. Sometimes I even doubt the name of messi can even survive in England because it is too physical and too commercial. Too much money involve will create big expectation and lesser patience. This is the game now, we shouldn't live in the past now and follow blindly..gotta move forward with time and environment. P/s: someone once said we are different from the rest of the club..i say..fuck..how different..everyone says the same for their own supported clubs...who justify this correct

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Regardless what, a win is a win... Let's not take it away and the fact we were a man down for 60min, a GK who has not play for so long and have to dump into action straight away, a midfielder to deputies at right-back and a few main players not in action...
Yes, a winning goal doesn't mean AC has come good... It has to be done consistently.. Since we only had a few games left till end season, why not just give that lad a break... And yes, everytime Maxi plays, he somehow make us wonder why he didn't play more... Show good instinct to pop up to score goals... Let's see if he will start this weekend... Let's just keep the momentum going and kick some blue Merseyside ass this weekend!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Based on this morning's game only, the whole team played well with the exception of the goals conceded and red card.
Firstly, it was a poor back pass from Flanagan which resulted in the red card and penalty. I mean, come on the lad is only 18 and still learning so I won't even get started on him now. (Remember how Gerrard also did the same thing when Liverpool played against Arsenal? Henry collected the ball like as if it was a through ball from Gerrard, rounded Reina and scored?) Of course, Jones did well to save the first penalty but unfortunately not the second one. The second goal from Yakubu, was also from a set piece. Nothing much Jones could do about it since the positioning of our defence was to be blamed. Henderson had to play right back for an hour after Doni was sent off and Flanagan was taken off for Jones. Credits to Henderson, he was playing like a right wing back Maxi, scored 2 goals himself. Whenever he plays, he never disappoints. Remember his hat-trick against Fulham away and Birmingham at home? I really cannot comprehend why KD refuses to play him more regularly. (other than injuries) Bellamy was causing the Blackburn defence problems as well. It was his run and pass to Maxi which resulted in Liverpool's first goal. Though I must say that his free kicks were poor and not up to standard. Jonjo Shelvey, played well in his attacking role just behind Carroll. He was the one who created Liverpool's and Maxi's 2nd goal. Lastly, an unlikely goal and winner from Andy Carroll. Take nothing away from him, he has been poor all season but could this goal fire him up to play better? Let's wait and see |

Besides his stamina, I think Kenny doesnt play Maxi cos he knows Maxi will be leaving in the summer. Carroll is a player who strives on confidence, so I hope Carroll, Maxi and Bellamy start this weekend at the expense of Henderson, Downing and Kuyt. My main concern will be Carra, with Agger back, I dont wanna see Carra near the first 11 anytime soon A biggest positive I took from the Blackburn game was Glen Johnson, he looked sharp, had pace but maybe still not 100% match fit. |
