Generally you can make out a dance bar by a brightly lit exterior and a uniformed guard at the door. The lights will be on till about 1:30. After that the Db stays open, but the entrance to the place will be through the back door.

1. I stayed at Condolim Beach in North Goa in a 4 star resort.
