Part 13

Arriving at the club lounge, Mr T saw Leaf sitting in a corner, busy on her phone as he sat quietly at another table across from her. Leaf was so engrossed on her phone that she never noticed initially.

She only noticed after she put down her phone and let out a sigh. They both smiled and Mr T walked over to her table.

Both fell silent for a while, but Mr T broke the ice and asked what she is doing in HK.

Turns out, during their brief call the evening before, she heard the distinctive sound of the pedestrian crossing in the background and after double checking the schedule that Mr T has shared with her previously, confirmed he is in Country Z and immediately booked a flight.

Again, all was done without thinking, which Mr T has reminded Leaf to be mindful about, he is going to a neighbouring Country the next day and will only be back late, if she arrived a day late, he will not be contactable till he is back.

She nodded, adding that is why she is in this predicament, she is currently fighting with Major Ops on the phone.

The promised freedom as it seems is just an illusion as he is now asking where she is, why not contactable and blah blah blah, the typical jealous, mistrusting argument.

Mr T sat quietly, watching her as she continued on the phone.

When all is done, he finally spoke, checking if she has booked a room and explaining the situation regarding the hotel they are at.

She just nodded and said she wants to spend time with him, no need to book another room.

They got back to the room and after Leaf freshened up, they went for supper nearby.

After asking repeatedly, Leaf finally shared why she came to find Mr T.

While she does have feelings for Major Ops, it is a lot less than the feeling she has for Mr T, but the promise of engagement and eventual marriage, something that her parents really wish for and most of her friends telling her things like “love is a scam, focus on money” or “Freedom and financial security is better than true love”.

Subconsciously, she slowly started believing that is also what she truly wants.

But after realising that she has indirectly accepting the proposal, resulting in Mr T ignoring her, she felt as thou her world has suddenly collapsed and does not know what she is doing.

She only knows she needs to see Mr T again. Mr T just nodded and asked her to eat.

Nothing else happened that night, after returning to the hotel and after showering separately, Mr T went straight to bed.

Leaf usually takes a long time to get ready for bed and also needing to have her daily calls with Major Ops, which according to Mr T, does not sound like a happy conversation.

Later, Leaf joined Mr T on the bed and just back hugged him. Mr T did not reject her, and told her to take it easy and just sleep first.

Leaf started sobbed quietly but Mr T decided not to respond further.

Hahaha this story seems very familiar as it is the same thing over and over again with Thai women. Thai women are not to be trusted, they should be used that's all. This leaf probably has a husband in Thailand which she introduce as 'friend' or 'cousin'

Not surprising

Doubts or questions can only be answered if the guy is willing to move his life over to Thailand.

Trying to ask them to move their life to SG is nearly impossible.

After a few month will tell you home sick liao want go back see family, friends and eat proper thai food

Or need to go temple pay respect for answering her prayers for this life she have.

After that tell you 1 week, 2 weeks then 1 month

Must not forget their priority

Family, Money, Friends, her life in BKK and what not and than finally you.

Part 14

Before heading out, Mr T left Leaf a note and some cash. He was expecting her to be gone when he got back to the hotel later that night.
Upon returning to the hotel.

Leaf was indeed gone. While it was expected, Mr T also felt disappointed.

Checking her Facebook and reading the messages she sent him before calling it a night.

Things started making more sense, the engagement date is drawing nearer.

Despite again confirming her strong feelings for Mr T, and mistake or not, she has already made a commitment to Major Ops, she is left with no choice.

On the flight back a few days later, Mr T contemplated what he should do next, Leaf has shown her true feelings to him by suddenly appearing in Country Z. But he understands that he will not be able to satisfy what she wants at the moment, and is still yet to be convinced enough to fully commit.

At this point, what would you guys do?

Option 1: Commit fully to be with her, whatever the consequences?
Option 2: Take up her proposal to be gik?
Option 3: Continue with life without her?
