Cos the last time i been to BKK, dunno hw to go jus gave up and walked around for a restaurant serving shark fins. Found one near Pratunam where they displayed the seafood outside. When we went to eat, they gave us name cards informing of the new location. Think they should have moved by now. Forgot wat name liao.

just tell the taxi u wanna go YAOWARAT aka CHINATOWN. try not to mention namsing first just in case he has some dumb recommendations.. once u are in that area (quite obvious cause there's chinese temples everywhere) then u tell him to bring u to namsing. most cabbies will know, if he doesn't nvm just alight. u can ask the shop owners around. trust me u WILL find the rest. pretty famous in that area. enjoy ur fins. oh n the seafood are also very cheap, only minus pt is tons of hongkees n sgp there. i personally like a thai oriented restaurant. enjoy urself!

Nam Xing is one of the most established restaurants for sharkfin and bird's nest soup. Many HK tourists go there as well. I last went to Nam Xing back in 1999!!

need not go all the way to chinatown just to checkout nam sing as they hv a branch in MBK level 3 as well, and i understand that there is also another different outlet opposite of namsing branch in MBK.
usually go to nam sing branch in MBK but will try different shop next - cheaper and nice is what i heard.

in hway khwang the most popular one would be somboon lor. its at the intersection of hway khwang rd... opp the elephant god.

in yaowarat my fav store is opp soi 17. cant remember the name. they only serve shark fin, fish maw, birds nest, fried noodles and fried rice. the fried noodles is nice too. at the corner of soi 17 is my fav kway chap store. its diff as the soup is clear. the "kah moo" is also nice.

1). ratchada soi 18, before 13 coins

2). Soi Natong,

I whole pc of shark fin ( Pau Shi) will cost more ..there are many grades....and always remember u will get fake shark fin too in bkk....want to eat go to those big rest with big name......friends selling bird nest and shark fin at yaowara told me not to take bird nest and shark fin in chinatown....you get it?? the best bird nest in indonesia ....not thailand.....rich hi so thai ppl dun take thai bird nest...they import their bird nest from singapore or indo..as for shark fin they (shop owner) too import from singapore....so why dont u guys take real good shark fin in singapore??
