Hi there newbie here.

Is there a dummies guide to ktv? Usually only go find ML/FL, but interested in going for a KTV session. Can go alone? Any breakdowns of rough damages? Anything else that I should know before going to a KTV?

Anyone been to SG karaoke Geylang Rd near lor 27 before? Do you know where are they now or any karaoke that has the same concept as SG karaoke?

Lor 27 last time got honeyland KTV at Geylang Rd side. Coliseum KTV at sims ave MRT side. Both changed bosses. Lor 24 is 金城 still around ? Which one you referring to?

Depending on which session u going. If Solo, HH is normally min $250 for a girl in total. The other sessions is defo higher as the tips will be higher.

Thinking of going to a KTV with 3 x friends who are also KTV virgins.

Can I ask how much the tips are and a little more about what service you get when providing tips?

Do you have to tip every hour or once once?

Can you get take away if you really like the girl?

if you are new then you may want to start with hh session first since the tips is usually cheaper, but lesser choice of girls

when i was a newbie, my priority was to find out how this trade operates, not so much about what could i do with the girls

only after i learnt about the scene and built good relationship with the mama san, then i knew where were the good deals

-- depends on which club you go and which session, the tips varies

Do you have to tip every hour or once once?
-- tip once when your session is over, girl, mama san, waiters

Can you get take away if you really like the girl?
-- you can take away, price is between you and the girls, but price is very high nowadays, not worth

Thanks for the advice from many bros above, in that case are there any ktvs to recommend for beginners?

For beginners don’t go alone la. Best for someone to guide you for a start.

Here’s a starting point
Message a ktv mummy: I want a room for X persons X session on X day

The sessions are
4-7pm
7-11pm
11-3am

Turn up on that day and tell front desk your booking name. You’ll be ushered to one of the rooms.
In the room order whatever you want to drink for the 4 hours (beer towers/bottle of whiskey/vodka)
Beer is cheapest. Suggest ordering 0.75-1 tower per chiongster
Fruit platter is served and mandatory

Message the mummy you’re here and she’ll come in first to say hi. Then she’ll bring the lineup of girls for you and friends to pick.

Pick 1 each and start the fun.

By default they will butterfly (sit with you for 10/15min then zhao to other rooms). If you want them to stay with you for the whole 4 hours it’s called “booking” them. The cost is 300-400 for booking them.

Any issue just message/ask mummy. She is like your helpdesk

Payment is made at the end of your session.

Shared cost
Room/Drinks/food 350-1000
Mummy tip 100 (give to mummy directly)
Waiters tip 20/30 (give to 1 waiter)

Individual cost
Each girl you chose 100 (give to your girl directly)

Total cost (all in) ~ 250 per pax if you order beer and go with 2-5 pax.
If u order whiskey/martell then it’ll be around 300-450 per pax (see how many bottles).

For beginners you are looking for the viet KTV experience.
Try myth/district 1/galaxy/catwalk/level9.

Above are prices for 7-11pm session and 11-3am session.

If you go during 4-7pm session (HH), tips are just 50 for mummy and 50 for each girl instead of 100.

Usually go with 3 pax total cost around 300+, >5 pax 200+.. Usually quote 500 for dabao back after session.. but my friend always get free.. depends on your chemistry with the girl.. last session higher chance for dabao

Just remember that the girls are here to work for lucrative money.. as to dabao.. really depends on the girl and your chem with her.. it’s a low probability considering that each day.. they faces so many men/ dicks.. if you are as handsome as Brat Pitt or Andy Lau.. then you have the upper hand..

As much as I know.. dabao rates really depends on the girl.. coz ktv management usually don’t encourage the girls to do so.. and the girls are doing dabao at their own risk.. so the rates really varies.. can go up to 400-500 per shot.. so economically wise.. it’s better to steer away..

If you’re beginner.. best is go with veterans.. coz you might just get sucked wby those lao jiao girls in the trade.. beer prices usually don’t put GST.. so be sure that there will be extra charges from GST and also the stupid 10% svc charges.. so sometimes I really don’t understand the logic of still giving the waiters the $10 tips per waiter.. and more often so.. only 1 waiter will actually come service your room.. but it’s just the practice.. and it’s stupid..
