was at the airport and browsing at the book shop. came across a book titled "thai girl" by andrew hicks. i bought it and it proved to be an interesting read indeed.

It tells the story of a fresh pommie grad who went to thailand wif his gal. they had a bust up and he met a masseuse on samet. the book than talks about the differences in culture and why thai girls from the poor region choose the sex trade. i feel that it presents a balanced view from both sides. it is different from private dancer in that it is not seedy at all. there is also no happy ending as he eventually realises that it is hard for them to be together coz they are culturally so different that its like they are from different planets. i do find it quite heart warming indeed.

as i mentioned in previous posts that it important to have an objective when u play. these gals in pubs/clubs/ab nam choose so because of their background. they are not so fortunate like those middle class thais who u pick up in discos or siam sq. they are good to you becoz u are their customer. to them its providing good service for a fee. its us who end up thinking they like us and choose to pursue that belief. than we find out they send 10 other guys the same message and we cannot accept the truth. the fact is they are doing for service - they want to keep the customer coming back. its the same with our jobs... we maintain the customer relationship so as to keep them coming back. of course i am saying not all have good intentions... there are always some bad eggs in the baskets. its up to us to suss out who is genuine and who is out to make a killing. most i know are out to make a living to support their family. the approach i take nowadays is go and have fun... dun put too much into it. after that its back to reality again.

They are so many good books about many kinds of service gals in Thailand however they are all written in Thai. Some books are very funny but hurt if it is all true story.
For example, books about Sideline and Cayote girls' life. Anyway, it is very difficult for foreigners to understand why and what happen, many not even think it is true story. From my experience with many WL, the lies from girls are the real life for another girls. Some girl lies by taking her freinds story to make her more interesting. When Thai gals lie (go hok) even you knew it, you still believe them

Although, I experience a lot of girl(I'm not a pimp) I only screw them

, I still can't catch their lies when those gals are telling something to you.

aiya..how come hor..all these sexperience books all written by farangs...
no books by asian or even Thai ? can't some bros here put together what's written in this asian forum and others similar forums and write a book. These days can be webpublished on internet and many bros here to help promote using web2.0 techniques... geez even now musicians, movies get discovered and launched via internet

Yes bro I do agree most if not all are from a westerner's viewpoint.....should have a book on the Asian or even Singaporean's perspective.....maybe can gather the stories from the forum for one.....bro few others books i read recently on Thailand (sorry can't recall the authors offhand)

It is sad to say that only westerner write about Thai girl with their perception.
As I told you earlier that many books are in Thai are available but the complexity of culture and marketing reason made those books not worth to read for real readers.
It is very difficult to translate sense of humour of Thai language to English or other languages. If I have a chance, I'll translate one chapter about Dancer in Bangkok what we call them cayote gals.

Dancers in BKK can categorize to A go go gals or Cayote gals (many already knows that this name come from movie Cayote Ugly)

you are rite in that there are many more books but they are written in thai. sadly my grasp of the language does not go beyond reading song titles currently.
the point i am trying to make is that while these girls, be it ab nam, dancers or PR, they are working for a pay check; whilst we go there trying to look for a "tirak". the objectives are different and problems are bound to occur. that is how we ended with numerous threads on tirakship and why thai girls are so mercenary and always go-hok.
reading the book i realised that be it farang or asian/singaporeans we are similar. we all get sukered by the exceptional service and think there could be more to it. and this is where the problem start.
i have had my fair share of relationships and there are good and bad ones. i feel that it is important to having a balanced view makes life easier and leaves you less bitter. life is colorful journey and i take it as part of learning.

Don't feel bad about it. Puying go-hok not only foreigners but Thais so.
The complication of go-hok is hard to tell in short but many things in Farang perception are not enough to understand culture especially dynamic culture.

I don't know whether I should post new thread or just continue posting at Hadyai after dark or Thai girl by andrew hicks. I need your comments from thread owner and readers.

I gonna write many chapters about sex, money, Puying Thai and Go hok from my perception (it is very narrow because it's only come from customer view as I was, am and will be. Although I probably add some thought from girls or agents that I met, I didn't do research to make this story more interesting. However, you will get fresh and my real sexperience story).

Chapter 1
Time change, new things to learn:
I was entered to sex trade 6 years ago when I came back from the US and I was becoming a massage parlor customer a few weeks after arriving back.
Before going to the States, I didn't need to pay for sex because I had a girlfriend when I was studying in BKK.
It was very funny after I lost my virgin to my GF, it seemed like everything just start to click. Although, I was a bit late to lost it at 20 :P but I got hers too so not feel so bad about it.

Beside my GF, I was lucky to experience one-night stand sex 2-3 times after we broke up. I haven't been to places that I have to pay for loosing my stress from organ between my legs, but I admit that I was interested to go inside massage parlor because so many nice and good looking WLs were living in the same apartment where I stayed. However, with moral to my parents and my GF, I has never been in those places till I was leaving BKK to study in the States and went back.

Getting one night stand in Thailand over ten years ago wasn't easy like nowadays because girls who live with their parents or cousins go hang out with a guy were not usual. However, currently those girls are trend to stay outside with their female friend or even her BF which unnoticed by their parents. That trend creates the new words "student sideline" which popular until now.

Many girls have their BF such a young age, and sure we all know about man habits, we are never enough. Once those girls lost their virginity, they feel nothing to loose anymore so that free lance has been increasing since those broken heart girls are trading their sex with money instead of love. However, please be informed that not all the girls would do it. I don't know how many percentage of girls start doing it but I surely know that this is the highest reason for FL to enter the sex trade not because of poor anymore.

Where we can find student sidelines to get one nightstand or pay for trade? And how to tell it is the real deal?
Some of them may be working in MP but from words and stories that I got from inside girls who are really student. It is only 2-3% that is real. Mostly are fake because they just want to increase their class, higher fee and their good excused to ask us to help them to pay their tuition. You can meet them at pubs, Disco or some specific areas in BKK such as Siam Hotel or Suan Lum (Lumpini Park). For foreigners, I suggest you to stay away from those places because a lot of cheated, robbery, or even blackmail.
70% of those student sidelines are have their own networks by contacting friends who are working in this line then those girls will upgrade themselves to be agents once they have more and more connection in hands and their connection link around Thailand. You may get student SLs from anywhere from north to south in HDY or any provinces. Those girls will travel around to other provinces during long holidays or semester breaks. They may do it also during semester but they are very cautious because if they have been caught, they will be expelled from school or university.

I know the girl who used to be student and now she act like an agent. I was her customer b4 and now become her gigs (gig = Thai slang means extremely closed friend that you can sleep with her but no relationship or commitment). It sounds like GF but I think it close to amour because both sides can have more than one gig and BF or GF.
However, one bad thing that happen to me that she never introduce me to screw other girls who she has connection. It sounds funny and unbelievable. Why she did that? Not because she afraid to loose me to other girls or I'm so handsome or having a good technique on bed and she don't want anyone has it but her

The True is: " Puying Khow Jai Yark Mark Mark " (Thai words) means it is very hard to understand what in women mind.
Anyway, I got the reason that she's giving to me (true or not I don't know), she said that she felt very hurt to introduce me who she Chorb (like) to other women. So, what's wrong with that? She allows me to screw WL from other agents!! Why not hers?
B4 going further , "Like you different from love you", I have to make sure you are understand this two words. Like = Chorb (in Thai) to be friend of (in Eng). Love = Rak (in Thai) to care for(in Eng).
She is still OK when I talked or sleep with other chicks but if she changed the word to Rak (love), you can't even talk about other women to her especially when you talk about sleeping with other girls. She will be mad and angry and be aware when you are sleeping; your king cobra is in caution. If you want to keep your king cobra safe, I suggest not to talked about other chicks: P
FYI: Use word "Rak" very careful to some girls. When they're thinking more serious relationship, you are in deep shit.

"Sideline (SL) Freelance (FL) and Working Lady (WL)"
I don’t know that everyone understand it in the same way, I can't give good definition for it, but I'll try. In brief, these words mean WLs who are not working on sex business as their full time job. For example, Student sideline = study but sex trading sometimes. Office sideline = have full time office job but do sex when money not enough. Model sideline = B movie stars or girls who on nude magazines want to get rich man to take care or get money for spending spree.
Do it different from FL? Sure yes.
FL has their full time job that you know best but SL don't. FL is also different from WL in fish bowls (woman who sit behind the glass and you pick her in MP) or farms (what you're called in this board) that she is free to work when and wherever she wants. Unlike, WLs may have their agent who paid money to their family or they borrowed that money from agents. They need to do the job to clear debts. Every time she going out with guests for whatever you want to called Girlfriend-like, Thirak, or just go straight to bed. Many of them get only 30% or less, all the rest going to agents, shop, middleman, guest reception and housewife in MP. They have to manage 30% for dresses, make up and hair. WLs who debt free can decide to do FLs or WLs without agents. Many WLs feel difficult to get job if they have to work alone since they are not fresh anymore.
