SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam will lead a SkillsFuture delegation to Switzerland and Sweden from Wednesday (May 6) to next Tuesday.
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said in a news release on Tuesday that the delegation will be engaging various government bodies, education and training providers, and companies from several industries.
It aims to better understand approaches in the two countries for assuring high-quality education and training, as well as the commitment of employers to investing in workers’ career-long development, MOF added.
DPM Tharman will also be speaking at the 45th St Gallen Symposium in St Gallen, Switzerland on Thursday, and will meet business leaders in Switzerland during his trip.
