Betong...down memory lane

dear all bruders,greetings!

me and some 'old' cheonging bruders are planning a trip down memory lane to betong this coming CNY....has been a long, long time adi since my last visit....used to be my fav playground before i ventured into further territories.....unfortunately,i've lost most of my contacts in betong....can any bros here who are still cheonging betong provide me the hotels' contact nums as i need to book accomodations earlier....hotels in mind here would be Merlin and New Sri Betong.....any other contacts such as pimps and bapaks or other lobangs would be much appreciated

By the way, most of the ayam house has shift to behind the tunnel.
Guess Little duck is still within Sri Betong Hotel.

I was there in June 2004, hope no changes.

There is a new disco Spider, do check it out.. should be the IN thing now. Also there is a new hotel nearby, forgotten the name though. Lots more Yunnan puying now. Thats all info from latest update.

Is betong nearer to the havoc district of Yala comparing with Hatyai?

Don't think its that close to Yala, Pattani or Narathiwat where the problem is but then its advisible to check out with anyone you know first. You never know. Problems like these could spill over to other parts of Thailand very quickly. Just take care and hope you have an enjoyable trip.

At present, Betong does not faced the same problems as Sungei Kolok which is also a town within Narathiwat where there were several bombings and the town is now flooded with military and police providing "so-called" security.

I still go to Betong every month and find that it's still OK although I don't drive there myself now but instead take the van service.

I have buddies cheonging Betong every other weeks and everything as normal and peaceful as usual. So far, Betong has been save and the town is basically a border town earning from Malaysia cheongsters.

went there for 2 days 1 night trip..

the quality was dropped...

no much of pretty ones..

is anybody have contacts getting good quality chick?

planning to visit during CNY

Betong is more enjoyable if you are regular, as most of the goodies are well kept. Those available freely on the farm are more likely to be the left over.
I doubt I could find any even if I am cheonging there during CNY.

Paging dick-dicky, paging dick-dicky - surely you can't be still be in Betong for more sanuk. We, those who do not have the fortune to visit this paradise are eagerly awaiting your FR.

Betong is me and my pals fav paradise on earth, but haven't been able to visit for the last one year cos' work commitment & the south Thai prob.

Our fav. spot during the day - Nice. Avoid Honey Pub at Merlin at all cost.
For the evening - Spider or GrandView.

Are they still around and happening?
