Can we get immune from the particular STD that we have gotten after we cure it?

You can catch bacterial STDs many times over. Being infected once does not prevent you from being infected again and again.

Viral STDs are more complicated. Many viral STDs are with you for life. The body never clears the virus. However, your immune system learns to deal with the symptoms. Good examples are warts and herpes. However, the fact that there are multiple variations of of each virus type complicated matters and it would take a virologist to explain the various risk factors.

Braddah, one thing is for sure there are STDs which cannot be cured. Keep that in mind before you do something you shouldn't.

You can get the same STD over and over again, like flu, there are many variations. Some once you get it, it is the end. Like AIDS.
