I think the media has overblown the situation in tokyo. Yes we are all concerned about the Fukushima thingy, everyone is glued to the TV, and the streets are quieter. Other than that, everything is as per normal.

Since my time here, I can attest to the fact that Japanese girls are way much hotter than sg girls in general.

Street pick-up is a sub-culture in Japan. I think it is called Nampa in Japanese.

And in case you are wondering, my command of the Japanese language is BARELY CONVERSATIONAL, although I am improving by the day.

hey lancer, i am based in tokyo too. When you mention street pick-up, are you referring to picking up normal JP chicks or those streetwalkers (normally PRCs)?

If the former, i dont think it is that easy especially if you are not Japanese, or Ang Moh. Correct me if i am wrong, by sharing some of your experiences.

By pick-up, I mean normal jp girls you bump into on the streets. Not streetwalkers (paid sex).

It is not easy-easy, but neither is it that difficult. Compared to sg, it is definitely much easier, and the girls are hotter too. So double whammy.

Reread your post, and realised you are in Tokyo too! Yes I am slow to notice. :/

Since you are a fellow Toyko-lite, I can share with you that I normally do pickups at train stations, in the trains, traffic junctions (I kid you not), and cafes. By far, cafes are the best for pick ups.
