Guy wat if i have Genital Herpes wat should i do? is there a cure of it? how should i prevent it?

You should go see a doctor ? Duh......

Go to sexual health issues forum and read the stickies there, should give you some info. That however won't do much good for you, only a doctor can do something for you.

Don't muck around anymore, go see doctor.

hey dude, sad to know that you have got herpes. there is no cure for it and it will occur 3-5 times a year. when it comes just don't have sex. more importantly, wear condom when you're having sex especially with the ONE you love. lastly, next time when your wife is giving birth must let the doctor know that you have got herpes. REMEMBER!

If you haven't seen a doctor, how you know you have herpes?

Saw two docs. One say I got cos' he see and said it is herps. But, another doc suggest blood test, since got 3 month lag time. Turn out, I am free of all the major STDs. According to him, blood test more accurate than visual inspection. Visual inspection may not be accurate. You still need a blood test. Culture is another way to test for herpes.

Be hopeful, but don't take life for granted liao. At least, u r heng its not hiv. HIV medication will makan u before u die a natural death. So, dun give up, until u really going to die.

The bros here may be surprised to know that there is even a website for dating herpes partners. Can fight with MSN personals somemore.

PS: I still very paranoid after the negative results. After reading a lot on herpes, one thing quite certain is that most of us are carriers of one form of herpes or another. Chicken pox is also herpes, if u didn't know.

Most important from today onwards is that you must cherish life more than ever before. cos' life really fragile. Anything can happen anytime. If got gf/ wife, then should start to be really nice liao.

LOL....my wife and myself both tested negative via blood tests and suddenly one day we started getting blisters and tested positive. It's in us and we don't even know it. But of cos, both of us had 2 to 3 relationships before knowing each other so along the way, we might have picked it up and did not notice or face any outbreaks till years later into our marriage. I am having an outbreak while writing it...LOL. Don't despair, it's nothing serious! I have two beautiful kids and still having a wonderful marriage!

What outbreak? You cried? Men do cry too.

Catching herpes is vulnerable to contracting other diseases. I should say, it is not serious but it is seconded to HIV +ve, and won't die like AIDS people do.

Herpes outbreak is continous right? Is it kind of "on" and "off"?

For your herpes, is it HPV1 or HPV2 or both?

Herpes is defined as HSV-1 and HSV-2. I have HSV-2 which means Fuck Sores down below hahaha...yes, I get it once every 2 months. Sometimes a few blisters and if I am lucky, a tiny one hahaha...

In the United States, it is call HPV which is the same as HSV.

May I know how old are your children?

Also, are you on medication right now?

HPV is not the same as HSV.
HPV=Genital human papillomavirus
HSV=Herpes simplex virus

My kids are toddlers now and no I don't take medication unless it's a very bad outbreak.
I normally use Acyclovir cream which helps to burst the blisters earlier and clear up the
lesions in a week time. But of cos if you take both medication and apply cream at the same time, it clears up a lot faster.
