i went thru similar "pain barrier" after I broke up with my 1st ex after sec 2.. we were in the same class from Sec 2 to Sec 4, and even in Poly, coincidentally, we were in the course >.<
thru-out that period of time, just like you, i always haboured throughts that we could be back together... but it never happened... and of cuz, less those extravagant gifts part...

over time and through 2 years of army, I finally managed to wake up...

and in fact just like you, i am still whatsapp my 1st ex almost everyday, even thou she's married and i'm getting married soon...

and its kinda relieving for me to know that there are guys out there who had similar experiences...

After knowing her for so long I guess you'll know each other very well but because of some reasons you two aren't meant to be. Tiffany will always be a part of my life. Probably just as my closest friend.

Great story bro. This really brought me back to the good old days... I too had my own share of secondary school heart breaks. One more so interesting than any other I would assume, about a loud crazy irritating "ah lian" I hated so much in secondary 3. We almost had an open dis taste for each other. We couldn't be more different.

Months went by and suddenly I developed an unexplainable attraction towards her. Slowly as the months turned to years, both in secondary 5, we became really close, we hung out a lot in groups of friends or alone together. Deep down inside I knew she was really not for me, but she had this ability to suck me in somehow, which made me want to stick around with her. But I always knew, she aint girlfriend material... I probably just wanted fun... But I felt she was changing for the better, maybe for me?

We hung out at each other's places frequently to do "school work". Some days we meet just to chill and we would cuddle and snuggle up. And one day it lead to heavy petting. It did not feel right and I did not intend to bed her or get any more intimate at that point.. something was off.

Somehow, after getting to know her and some of her stupid friends for quite sometime, I knew something was just not right about this girl... and to cut the story short, I found out by going through her phone one day (call me insecure, whatever), she was actually doing FL(I was still very unaware of the whole sex scene at that point of time). I actually saw intimate SMSes from several guys(Not gonna go into details). But she kept it professional and did not reciprocate. However, my heart sank and I never looked at her the same.

Thankfully, we never got together officially. A few things definitely attributed to that, one being maybe deep down I always had this funny feeling about her coupled with her maybe not wanting me to fall for her because of her lifestyle choices she made. I now saw her as this "dirty girl" I wouldn't want to touch at all. And after that, things became awkward between us and we drifted apart. Thankfully it was coming to the end of my secondary school days. So it made letting go easy, but made the studying really difficult.

Oh well, learn from every mistake, every experience, of which, could only make you a better man. Or for her case, a better lady. We have lost contact ever since then. Thank god!

Yes we were both 17 at the time. It was all really confusing for me. But I always saw her as this really young and conflicted girl who was mixed up with some bad people. She being around me as we got closer over time, I noticed her going through some positive changes. But in the end, I just knew too much. And it just wasn't worth it.

Your relationship with Tiffany reminds me of mine with J*, thats if I did not find out she was an FL.

Never lose hope bro. I'm sure you guys have a relationship foundation strong enough to have FB relationship, maybe for at least a little while? Haha. I don't know much of your story regarding your relationship with her after that incident. But I'm sure that it must have been positive considering you guys are still in contact? I feel, she owes it you man. I could only imagine how hot the sex will be if you did get to bed her anytime in the near future, with all those years of tension build up.
