All depend of credit rating of US... if it loses its AAA rating.. and when it loses.. hahahahah u will not see 4.7... u will c 5 and above.. .. cny is almost like peg to the usd.

but who knows .. it might be the american "evil" plan to shake cny pegging.

well.. personally . i will wait for a while..the way how usa spend thru the economic crisis .. i am quite sure it will lose ...it aaa rating.. and even bill gross mention it will lose it rating ... so i stay put and wait..

how do u put is .. sgd strengthening or usd weaking.. i put is usd weakening but .. of course china may move its currencies.. but leh.. it will kill its export.. .. wad do u think china will do /hmmmm//// unlikely esp it buy soo much of us debt liao rite?? further cny is not a very free flow currency and it has not mature to free flow yet.. but maybe 10 yrs later it will free flow.. let c how the china government do... but confirm not now.

i just wonder now is our ah gong MAS going to do .. ..hmm..... this is big money .. in the forex market..

well geithner will cut US deficit in medium term.. i am just pondering his so called medium term.. and change before the medium term..

another way to get better rates is to open a forex trading acc.. .. then the rates u get for other currency will be very close to the forex rate.. or alternatively change with biz pple who wanna to get sgd// let me know if u have a big amount, small amount not interested to do the work.
