Have to say the new meter taxi was a daring move.maybe the the driver from silver taxi have grown sick of poor business cos before they anyhow ketot any chop till business now really bad they decided to live a decent living by fetching customer who really wanted the transportation only?

The non taxi meter sure scared.imagine more and more ppl using meter taxi then how to get tamu for bring see cewek,hotel commission and seafood store?

I should say some of the taxi driver really annoying thou I understand thier ways of life.i stay around the center point area always so everything walking distant no need to pay extra for comm but everytime I go batam I feel like I am mr 'president'cross 1road at least have to say no and wave my hand 3time minimum from taxi ard me some even run to shake hand but being use to thier shit just ignore smile and walk straight.

Agree bro, those park outside Queen is really irritating. Sometime walk in to Dynasty to see the cewks, come out only, sure have one or two driver flashing worn off name card of joints.

Agow system meantime won't work in batam, it screw up the present system. E.g. ferry terminal, all have taxi counter and fixed price and all taxi have to pay the ferry terminal an annual fee in order to the pick up passenger arriving at the terminal and receive job from the taxi counter. Some around 20juta per annual. if agow start many changes need to be made. Agow in future is for sure, but it will take long time and progress, end up agow in vehicle but only for show, still go by nego. Like many malaysia JB taxi.

Even once pull my hand hen i walk pass oh comeon u wanna start trouble with me or what pulling my hand in middle of street not like he is my cewek so i totally ignoring em. Even need transport i walk further away to get a ride.

Emm taxi in ferry terminal donno but they charge like u are bloodsucker. Normally my batam buddy pick me up FOC but once i walk to outside road to get cheap ride lol

just changed to a 70k 3 SIM 1GB....i am now surfing our SBF..the previous one 50k only 500MBS...at first could access than slowly could not and very slow....the 3 is the way to go.....the free wifi at the coffeetown is also good..the rate this morning was 1= 6930...
this morning went to T. If you go into queens, and out empty handed, they will come after you, trying to take you to places. Dynasty is infront of Queens. These 2 places are hot for taxi and ojek. Singaporeans are easy to spot, from the way they dress. Locals? They usually dont bother.

Turn them down by saying, you going to Dynasty if you walk out from Queens, and say you going to Queens if you walk out of Dynasty. Then walk away to other places.

If you come in a vehicle, they wont bother you.

pity AMIR HOTEL tv still not LCD type
the reception there is not very good
but for CABLE tv is ok

water from tap is brownish

i know some are very small from other hotels
maybe alot of westerns stay there
i saw a number of them when i was there
i think its because of the seafood center nearby
