As the hotel is currently on renovation at certain floors, the rate is quite attractive. Price starting from 118RMB/night. Maybe you can put it into your consideration. Bro... not sure what room you are refering to. I just called them. Their cheapest room is 188rmb. It is very reasonable but no where near your quote of 118. Good lobang nonetheless.

later ... they charge u extra for the bed depending on ur weight ... and for using the washroom and shower .... like a coin slot machine with limited usage time .....

taida actually has water and electric meters in their rooms
they used to charge for water/electricity
but changed their policy this year because of complaints /unhappiness

Do u have the contact details for this hotel as it's not available on web. The budget suits me as I don't earn much.
Just for info sharing, previously I stayed at Xiang Jiang Hotel (rmb178) opp XinHaiLi SeaFood Restaurant.

Sms her this afternoon about staying in budget hotel & she told it's fine as long as I'm by her side!

they have 2 economy rooms(if i rem correctly) which they let for 138/nite
really cramped ones, so sometimes they are out and other rooms are 158 up

there are a couple rite near the market拱北市场 around the corner
at the big carpark where they have florists at the side
beside the 24 hr macdonalds
one is called zhuhai fuliyuan hotel 珠海富利源宾馆 86-756-3888298
the rooms are big and its 150 rmb per nite...negotiate....

there are also some behind that charge 50-80 rmb/nite
standards much lower
u may not be used to it

i am a backpacker kind of guy
train station,bus station,park bench also can sleep
so any bed also buay hiam one
150 rmb room is a luxury to me

its a go=green/save the earth (or cut costs?)policy where they tried to make guests use less electricity and water as they are directly charged
as i said, feedback was very bad and they had to scrap that ( but the meters are still there!)
