Anyway, most probably I will be in PRC from 18 Dec to 04 Jan, will be in ZH for a few days. After that, 05 Jan to 09 Jan to BKK/Phuket.

My favourite place is the "Seafood Street" at Wan Jai; Hai Xian Jie, which is around 10 mins by taxi from Gong bei. Quite interesting place. It is a market place where they sell live seafood ranging from oysters to abalone. First pick out a restuarants from the street full of seafood restuarants where you want to dine in. One of the staff will follow you around to help you buy your seafood (must bargain even if they sound real cheap!). After you done your shopping, you return to the restuarant and the staff there take your instructions how you want it done. The restuarant only charges you cooking cost. You can have a super dinner for 2 ( fish. abalone, oysters, prawns, crab plus cooking for less than 300 to 500 rmb, all in all).

The market is also open in the afternoon. But do close quite early in the night @ 9 pm. Go early and get the best as it is a popular haunt with HKers. Went there late once and didnt get much choice but you can get super bargains as stall owners will try to sell out all their stock.
