This already long time happening.
But still many people still got scam

Hello, I fell for this scam recently and I am mad at myself. I read this forum and realize it is happening in Singapore for a long time. I am in the USA and it was with CVS and itunes cards.

I just had a question:

After the scam was over, and you left and ignored the threatening phone calls/texts. Did they every receive additional threats or texts. Did people ever actually find you at your home? I am worried if I need to check my phone number or if there is some way to find my address. I don't want strange men coming to my home to look for me in the future thinking they can try to extort money from me. I have already made an anonymous report to the police. Any advice or experiences greatly appreciated!

These people are interested in conning you only. To get themselves exposed? They are not stupid, but big time cowards, hiding behind these IT gadgets to swindle. They talk big tell you they come for you.

1) They know your address?
2) They are con man only and they move on to find the next victim.
3) They are not so free just to find every person who turn them down.

Hope this helps. You could have read about how some members here played with them, and they got pissed off big time too. End of the day, these are just low down scums, that are lower than those sewer rats prying for food in rubbish dumps.

personal experience... was playing wechat look around.. then a girl added me... chitchat... say she here to study.. and then very lonely.. as 1st i also thinking maybe meet up and see got any chance.. :P... then she say she doing part time... so i got suspicious.. googled about wechat.. then link me to here.. heng never go...
subsequently also been having girls adding me for the past 2-3 months.. all same excuses.. students.. all say from ROC.. huan jiao part time $100 for 2hours... when asked where.. tell me they stay amk... so near my place... when asked which block.. they all say the same block.. 128.. or 723... i think should be someone who stay nearby the mosque... hope this help the bros here.. pls dont waste time when u r being added by chio bu... FL dont have time or wont waste time searching for guys and ask one by one... only occupational cheaters will waste time like that...

Thanks for your thoughts, definitely puts my mind at ease. Was just curious if anyone had ever had more problems afterwards, but it seems like the scam just ends there.

are the gals askin u to buy them a $100 Apple itune card?
i read somewhr like the gal will ask u to scratch the card to reveal some kinda password which the card can be used?

Regardless of where you stay, they 'will' be nearby. Fished a gal out by giving her a random location with fake gps.
They will simply search for the nearest location with an AXS machine.
Usually ask for your location 1st, so faster to withdraw money.
If they give you location 1st, then you gonna waste money on transportation as well.
At no point is their address real.

I think wechat is probably dead for fishing and only useful to contact existing FL. Other apps less chance of scam.

So far wechat is ok. As in gals dun openly solicit n chat u up.
Only encountered such scams in meow n badoo which they direct u to add them in wechat.

Yes, you reveal the numbers and it can be used, to redeem the money bought.

They will then somehow use the credits n say good bye to you. So end of the day, always COD. Any so call such lobangs when they ask you to buy cards before transactions are fake.

Nearly got conned twice by this scam cause i was scammed once by transfer scam long ago, so became brighter. Still trusted enough to buy itunes card and now i have too much and i dont use. Anyone wanna buy from me?
