i like typhoon too.... hehe. i stayed at central park. so its really easy to get around the fields avenue stretch. i dun even need to take a trike. the hotel also offer tickets to manila from swagman fly-the-bus. ask at the counter

But you know what....I realised that typhoon lights make the ugly girls look ok and make ok girls look great. The lights somehow make them look fairer. Like a magic trick.....need to get one for my wife kekekekeke...

I will try to stay at the fields....but since everything so compacted feels very small and tight.

Now back at work same old routine...Will be there again for golden week. 10/4 to 10/7

Tipping - My Take in Angeles:

Firstly, May I request Singaporeans who travel overseas to know that tipping for services rendered is expected. Often we forget about tipping cos of our policy here where tip is usually inclusive,
When you buy a tour package, the travel agency has to make it compulsory and include guide and driver tip in your purchase price. Personally I don like this practice.
When we are in Angeles or other places do remember to tip at your own discretion or not tip if disattisfied. My ruler is usually 20p tip to waitress at a bar and 300p to barfine after LT. Runners get nothing. Taxi driver gets 30p and hotel guard or chambermaid 50p at end of stay. From my checking with receiver and giver, I am about 120% of the general standard.

agreed with u bro. i take note about the tips. I was at the dollhouse bar in the afternoon and the drinks was only 50 peso coz its happy hours and since i gave 100 peso for payment, i tip the waitress 50 peso too. Normally i will tip them if i am satisfied with the service but i just dont like people who will ask and look for tips especially in indonesia. just my opinion.

You are very generous. 50p tip will get you remembered and longed for by the girls. I asked a waitress on tipping trend by customers and she says that for 8 tables served, she gets 115p tips in total.

Tipping.

The average daily wage of hotel staff is p200 a day. Some staff do get tips like porter, waiter, driver, doorman/security & housekeeping. Others may not, pool guy, some maintenance staff, cooks, frontdesk.

I noticed, at most bars and restaurants they usually share tips, unless you say specifically that tip is for them. Like when waitress helps me in pre-questioning a potential EWR before I decide to spend more on LD. At the end of my bill, I may tip the some of the loose change of coins, I noticed she takes it back to the cashier, but if she helps me out, I may tip p50 - p100 depending on how much work she does, I say this is for you, I see she puts it in her dress or a separate place that does not go back to the cashier (who is paid more, if memory serves about p300).

On the notes of Tipping...

I may well be flamed for this... but who the f**k cares.

I was born in Singapore, grew up in Los Angeles, and work in HK / China.

So I think I am able to speak about tipping.

From what i see, hea,r and understand, tipping is not a filipino thing. It was introduced from the American occupation in the filipines since they have been there. Tipping is not ubiquitous in the filipines just areas with alot of American influence.

Now in America, tipping is not required (or else they would have placed a fix charge on the bill). Tips are appreciated and practiced but not compulsory.

Now if the service sucks ( be it restaurant, taxi, car wash, hotel, airline, bar, whore) dont pay. Its your right. If the service is ok you CAN pay, the amount is up to you. If the service is GREAT again you CAN pay, the amount is up to you. Just dont expect great service or any service the next time you go ( servers have a right not to serve you).

On the amount gratuity is usually 10-20% and then sky is the limit. You can do the math. But usually chinese will give 10-12%. Angmoh 15-20%
European also 15-20%. So thats why most pple in Asia love White pple and service them. Its not because they are rich its because they are more generous without getting something back.

When chinese tip its like i better get my moneys worth or, i tip you sooo much you better give me anal. Or they will tell the girl up front i give u this much tip i expect this this that.
