I m planning a trip ti BKK next month and am doing some research. Found all my answers here! Any bros have more tips to add on cheonging in BKK?

Since me going alone, think will get a taxis to bring around. Is that recommended? I dun mind letting him earn some commision cos me really blur about BKK lah.

No need to do that lah. Best place to check out would be Ratchada if you are looking for MPs. Full of MPs down the stretch of road. So far had the best experience in Poseidon. You could stay in Merchant court, just right opposite the MPs. But though BKKtonight show it as a girl friendly hotel, recently they implemented a new house rule. After 10pm, 800baht per guest coming to room. But if you heck care them and tell them you are a regular at the hotel and the cork excuses, can get by without paying... i heng heng managed to do it.

Actually how do they charge you har? Do they stop at the lobby before you go up or when you check out? They remember your face one and which room you stay one maei?

Any other way to get about it anyone else care to share?

Not they will remember your face but some hotels have keys deposit, you drop your key and collect it again when you are back, this is time when they will check you if they see you have a guest, especially if the gal look local, like this no way to run......Better stay in a hotel girls friendly cos additional for 2 or 3 nights in a row burn a hole in your pocket. For example, Asia Hotel charges 600 baht, 3 nights in a row enough for another MP visit.

Something like that lah, if not get your gal earlier but quite unlikely. If not go for those cheaper hotels lor, save money, as long as got bed, shower and air con good enough. No need to splurge $70 over dollars for good hotels. Save it for better use.

The key to avoid "joiner charges" is to register as double room when you book and check in.

At that point if they ask you for name of guest, tell them your Thai girlfriend is coming from upcountry and register her name as Khun Nok or something like that. Say you do not have her ID with you and her normal Thai name.

So when you are moving in and out at night with the lady, if the security ask you, say its your registered girlfriend Khun Nok - ask him to check the registration at reception and be firm and confident.

Tell him she is not a joiner! And in the morning, always go to reception and complain that the security is harrassing your girlfriend and insult her by calling her a joiner!

This tactic always works well for me in Thailand.

Nobody can question you that you have more than one girlfriend from upcountry !

The best of course is to know the Sales & Marketing Director over a drink or two and then tell him / her to fix is so that your room is exempt from Joiner. They love your business and if they know you, its a small thing they can do for you too.

There is no need to sneak around when you are having fun.

You are damm right. Merchant court are relative easy to get pass lah. Either go in before 10pm or just register 2 persons. If not get a damm chio, fair skin thai escort will make the security think twice about stopping you.

They usually wait around at the lift to help press the lift button for guests. Talk a bit nicely to them, be firm and usually have your way. So far never paid anz joining fees
