Hmm... same as 1 month ago, looks like very little activity on Yuan, that's y rates no change even when SGD goes down.

Philipines drugs r really expensive. The AZT price at Manson is 4 times more expensive than a similar drug in China, just checked the prices at nearby drugstore.
Costs n hassle of permanent stay in AC is also not that favorable.
U need visa extension after 21 days n again after each 30days n costs abt S$100 each extension. Accomodation hotels r not cheap too.
Maybe its wiser to do a max. 21days mutiple trips like u w cheap flight tickets.

Yup, will be depressing for me who will be heading over there in less than a week. I change very little daily so will affect alot to my expenture.

Had similar experience years ago but not so bad. Still it burned a hole in my pocket! Food & drinks are cheap but because there are like 30+ people, it adds up real quick. In province, everyone is related & everyone suddenly comes out from the woodwork when there is a treat and when a stranger comes, there is always going to be a treat.

I m a simple man who been in China before their economic boom.
The scenerio u cite is not much different w the China poor village girls, where all the relatives comes visit u looking for handouts n freemeals many years ago. Asks for motorcycles, tv n money to built houses.

It's just that w the economy boom, they r much better off now.

All i m tryin to say it's a norm for poor countries to have these "money demanding" situations not limited to the Philipines.

Same here in AC, I could not get into SB for a while.

Cherrys Bar is closed. No raid. Stampede is for sale.
