I'm just wondering if the rapid test detects both HIV1 and HIV2? or does it only detect either one?

i go for the anonymous test de . that guy poke my ear to test our temperature . he never use the protective cap to change for every brother ears. very unhygienic leh...

It detects both types of HIV.

I want to ask regarding the equipment used by afa like the gloves especially the lancet.
let's say if the volunteer forget to dispose the lancet, can it still be reused afterwards?

Of course not. The lancet is single use only anyway. And it's all disposed.

Was @ AFA last evening.
They were using the Forehead Scanner for Temperature now
They were using ear thermometer during my 1st visit in June. of course with disposal plastic

July was the month for the Syphilis. therefore they charges $30 for both test (HIV & Syphilis).
& was surprise to see many couples going there for test.

Was there early so while waiting for the clinic to be open i went to Blk 27 for drinks. but in the end eating Popiah & laska. haha

the Laska ok la. $2 each bowl with alot of cockerel(if u do eat)..
hehe the stall is run by a old man. if im not wrong he have 2 daughters helping him. and 1 of them was really Big. at least D cup...hehe
but face wise is Beauty is in the eye of a Beholder la..hehe

they operate from 9am to 6pm. i was lucky i got a bowl as i was there abt 615pm...can give it a try.

True. they always explain that all equipments we see on their desk r used once and will b dispose right away after using.

Just went for my first ever HIV screening, some pointers for fellow bros.

Between AFA & DSC, I had wanted AFA. Went to Kelantan Lane's DSC then I realised - that AFA (testing) is operated outside of normal work hours (but still inside DSC clinic). It only opens on:

Tue & Wed: 6.30pm - 8pm
Sat: 1.30pm - 3.30pm

If you wanna stay anonymous, you should opt. for AFA. For DSC, if you are tested positive, MOH will be notified. Your spouse will also be notified if you are married. If you are a foreigner, you may even be barred from entering our soil again.

Btw, DSC is closed from 12pm - 1pm for lunch.
